A wide-swath portrayal of yet another f'd-up intersection of religion and society. But one, I must admit, that has a particular fascination for me (Mormonism, that is, not polygamy). Polygamy as a concept is old and simple as dirt. Men wanting multiple "wives" - there's nothing complicated about that.
I do find it interesting how the author is painting a prism of perspectives on belief and faith. I know that he's doing a good job of with these characters because there are some that I want to yell at. ...less
