My true passion is fine fragrance. I had my own column on www.basenotes.net and I was the senior contributor to www.sniffapaloozamagazine.com i write for many magazines. I am a fragrance specialist and consultant to luxury and fragrance companies.
I seem to be spending more time testing, spritzing and writing than engaging new clients.

Reading hs been my respite since age 5; my library is eclectic, although I am not a fan of horror, chick lit and biographies. Special place in my heart for Nabokov, and F Scott Fitzgerald who are two of my favorite 'classic' authors and who also were born on Dec 13.
It had been too long time since I read the classics, ( incl. Faulkner, Nabokov, JD Salinger, Ovid, Hemingway, Chaucer, Joyce, etc.) so I re-read a classic 2x a month.
I was a lit major in college with a minor in fine arts. The most memorable books from those years are "100 yrs of Solitude" and "Hopscotch". I am a devotee of two genres: Latin American Magic realism and speculative fiction
My favorite books of the past few years are Air by Geoff Ryman, The Historian, The History of Love, The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo, Fledgling by Octavia Butler, The Alienist BUT my all time favorite ever list include The Prince and The Art of War...go figure
Currently,i am obsessed with urban noir novels.like potato chips I read one, and end up reading entire series.
