Rory Stewart writes a great travelogue of his walk across Afghanistan. It gave me some insight into a culture that is more dissimilar than similar to our own. If you like the Brunetti series, this is like visiting some old familiar friends. The plot is kind of all over the place and there is no real mystery in this one, but the characters are so likeable that it is hard to admit this wasn't that great of a book. but it is hot out and it is nice to read a breezy fast book. ]]>
