I unabashedly love Stephen King short stories. I think they're his best work. This collection is no exception. Standout stories for me were The Stationary Bike and N. The latter has wormed its way into my mind and possibly upped my very few OCD-like behaviors. That's my mark of a good and haunting scary story. It may end up being like The Mist, a story I read almost once a year, when I'm feeling low on the willies.

Hmm. Either the books are getting better, I suddenly understand the writing style better, or True Blood has made me more tolerant of them.

Again, tons of people I know like these, so it's no judgment on them, but this series still reads like one big Mary Sue.
