I've enjoyed the Sookie books, just about to finish #6, but then I'll be moving over to Warbreaker since I'm leading the discussion in January. I have a huge stack of new books to read so I'll be taking a break from Sookie for a while! I got Under the Dome A Novel, An Echo in the Bone, The Gathering Storm, Naamah's Kiss, and Santa Olivia. I prefer huge books, 1,000 pages or more, and a series of all huge books are wonderful as long as they are well written and not boring. I've tried to read James A. Michener and found huge isn't necessarily the entire criteria. I love the Wheel of Time series as well as the Kushiel series. I do enjoy the occasional short, 300 pages or less books, but only if I'm needing some light reading such as when I'm traveling of have just finished a huge, deep, thought provoking book.
