5 women struggle with life issues and their faith walks. When they begin to grow tired of leaning on the Lord they all have to make decisions on what they will do. In the end, each has to deal with how their situations turn out. McKinney-Hammond's book is even paced and an entertaining read. I was interested in how each woman dealt with her situation, the decisions she made, and how things turned out. The characters were very well developed and pulled me into their lives. It has the power to touch women's lives, especially if they find even a small part of themselves in any of the characters. This is why whether McKinney-Hammond is writing fiction or non-fiction her books are so good. E. Lynn is back and he has written another great book. This time around he focuses on a college athlete who is on the right path, being a stand up man, dedicated son, and good man. He is destined to become the next big star and like all major players, the scouts are out. One in particular is willing to do anything it takes to get Brady, legally or illegally. There are other subplots that play into the development such as Brady's mothers' past and a mother who comes back just to get rich, among other things. (Some old characters from past books pop up too.)

I had to force my self to slow down while reading this book so I wouldn't be back at the bookstore the next day. The plot is well developed and the book is entertaining. If you like fiction with a little mystery then you will enjoy this. Some things became a little obvious but since this is not a mystery, it was okay. Lewis' latest work was an entertaining book that centers around two female characters who become close friends. The two come from different backgrounds which leads to differences in opinion but in the end they both come to lean on each other. Another aspect of the plot is one character's struggle to find God and her true purpose rather than follow the path set before her. I read this book in one sitting because it was a page turner, I had to know what was going to happen next. Some of the plot was predictable but the novel was still very well written. ]]>
