Typical Richard North Patterson, forces you to see at least two sides to every issue and place you in a situation that makes you slightly uncomfortable with your first reaction to the subject. This time he takes on the Isreali and Palestinian issues, through the eyes of a young Jewish lawyer and a young Palestinian Mother. What they perceive as "truth", cultural beliefs and conflict populate this novel. I really enjoy Patterson's even handed perspective.

Could be a good beach read, mindless and forgettable. Woman inherits a house from an older woman who took her in as an unwed mother years before. Now people are breaking in, a spy swallows her phone number before he dies, and two men want to marry her.

This book takes on the Valentine holiday. Stephanie has to take on the work load of a "relationship manager" in order to get her bond. Joe and Ranger are missing from this novel. Seems like Evanovich really rushed through this one, there are gaps in the story, and action seems to jump, like a skip on an old record. Very disappointed in this one.

My first book by this author and I am definitely coming back, there seems to be a book before this one, because at least 3 of the characters seem to have a back story. There was some violence that was over the top for me, so no 5 stars, but given the setting (street gangs) that I have no knowledge of, maybe the violence is accurate, hopefully not. I like the relationships between Jack the white lawyer, Theo, a black child of the ghetto and former death row inmate, Andie the FBI agent and Cy, Theo's uncle. They are all complex and real emotions.

Typical I read the second book (Fatal Burn) before this one, only problem was it made the last couple of pages unnecessary for me. The story was good, enough potential bad guys to keep you guessing. A little far fetched, but hey its fiction.

This was a disappointment. I really like the Nina Reilly series and was anticipating reading this book. I could not relate to any of the characters, I could not find one that I was sympathetic to. I wasn't sure what the point of the story was, who was supposed to be the focus, etc. Then near the end the writing got poor, the dialog contrived. I hope this book is an anomaly and Mary and Pamela get back to their usual style and subject matter.
