I must say that at first I really struggled with getting this book started. I was not all that excited about reading another book in letters. However, once I got going and got about a quarter into the book it really became more interesting. I believe this has to do with the society members of Guernsey and how they really livened up the main charachter Juliet and the story itself. I must say that after that the book was difficult to put down and I myself fell in love with the island and the people on it.
