it was something much different than her Twilight Saga. at one point it was good, on the other weird, and on the other, other bad. You find this whole plot a bit boring, a bit annoying and a hell lot flustrating. You wish the ending was different, more angsty, more depressing, crushing. You wish everybody end up with their happy end but yet you want something crushing, because there are no happy endings in real world. But this is Meyer's baby, this is her world, and in her world everything always somehow end in bright, pink color. can't blame her. so much pain in the world it's good to have something possitive to hold to. Yet. It was okay. Not breathtaking, earth moving, but good. in some ways better than twilight.(less)

because Clare was giving us little cookies during earlier books it was no suprise that main characters were what they were. which is of course a good thing. it was a good ending for this series. nothing unexpected but sometimes the most obvious things are the best so i won't complain about that thing. I loved the fight between Sebastian and Jace. I loved the feeling between Jace and Clary, the way he talked to her, the way he was talking about his feelings. Good ending.(less)

and the story of [City of Bones Mortal Instruments Book 1:] continue, and it gets darker, and angrlier and even more complicated. A perfect mix for all of us. as much as we hope that Jace/Clary romance will gets it's own happy ending, we get pretty much just little clues, which give us even more hope that it will be a happy ending. We get more fights, more blood, and more 'i'm not responsible for my parents mistakes' attitude. If you think that 2nd parts are worse, you're wrong, Clare gives everything what we need and leaves us wanting even more.(less)

my love for vampire novels knows no bounds. i like to explain this state by the fact that i always was and always will be a great fan of buffy's series and since buffy is long gone i need to find some replacement, which i often find in vampires' novels. simple as that.
when it comes to City of Bones Mortal Instruments Book 1 City of Bones Mortal Instruments Book 1 it's interesting, the plot though kinda worn out and known damn too good, was used in a bit less typical way giving us something fresh. Clary the main, almost 16 years old girl, who suddenly finds out that all the demons and faeries who suppose to be just characters from creppy stories are real after that her world will be never the same. We got Jace, handsome but cocky demon slayer, and Simon 'i always be there for you because i'm secretly in love with you' friend and a whole bunch of other not less interesting characters. The story is good, characters are funny, real, and mixed. Jace is giving us everything we need to hate him, to love him and to laugh because of him. And a Clary/Jace romance which turns into something very twisted and unexpected, leaving us hoping that it was all just a bad, bad dream.(less)
