I finally finished this and I would say that I really liked it, though I too thought the ending was a bit unsatisfying. Without giving away too much, I just feel that Quentin is way too wishy-washy at the end. After all he goes through, he makes decisions, doesn't stick by them, changes his life completely several times. That annoyed me a bit, but overall I did like it. I did find the sense of wonder that you didn't AM, but I don't read too much fantasy, so didn't have much to compare to... ]]>
