Hi Stan,
Thanks for the invitation. Sorry my response has taken so long. No excuse except my inborn tendency to tardiness. Your list of favorite books are writers everyone who wants to write should read, but I'd have to admit I don't much enjoy any of them. I find the premodernist writers a pain to read. I can remember exactly that it was running across and reading Hemingway is what made me think my own writing might be okay. His plainspeak style...well I ramble. Anyway I am woefully underread in the classics. I'm getting carried away. Will contact you again later.
