I loved reading this book and read it quickly. My only disappointment was in the ending which was very quick and without much fanfare. I am annoyed when authors end their books because it is time or because they plan a sequel. I would write a book wi ...more

Excellent breakdown of a dysfunctional family. Heartbreaking in Hornbacher's portrayal of pain but jubilant in her portrayal of love. She brought the act of living as a family into full light.
