It was awful how heartless, cruel and sadistic the government was made out to be. It's an example of how even a small bit of power can make people hungry for more and how desperate they are to keep other people down and keep themselves on top. I can't understand that kind of thinking which is why I was kind of afraid to get into the arena and beyond. The book has wonderful issues to think about even if they are not so wonderful to read about.
