Pros:

- Book is laid out beautifully and written in a fun, easy-to-read style. Encourages you to focus on creativity.
- Includes good intro to steampunk.
Cons:
- It's only 50 pages long (though they're a packed 50 pages), and the book's pamphlet-like format seems a little flimsy.
- The photos are small and unlabeled, so it can be difficult to follow along.

This book is extremely thorough, answering most of the questions sweepstakes newbies have. It also has a place in the more established sweepers' library, primarily because it's inspirational. She includes lots of stories and photos of her own wins, plus stories from other winners... a great reminder that someone out there really *is* winning all these great prizes.
My main complaint is that there's a lot of talk about Law of Attraction, which I'm generally a little skeptical about. Still, I like that she emphasizes it's not just luck that leads to wins... it's patience and consistency.
Though she covers all types of sweepstakes, the book is primarily focused on online sweepstakes. I recommend it for anyone who's new to sweeping, new to *online* sweeping, or trying to persuade someone new to join the hobby.

Pros:
- It's a fun read: each character has his own poem, and there's humor mixed in with the instructions.
- Great step-by-step photos.
- "Variations" page at the end of each chapter gives encouragement and guidance for tackling your own versions.
- Good info on armature and sculpture-building basics.
Cons:
- Doesn't cover much detail finishing work (texturing, smoothing, etc.), so the end results don't look especially polished.
- Characters aren't as charming as those in Tilov's first book, Creating Fantasy Polymer Clay Characters.

Pros: * Covers clay basics better than many books. * Great painting tips for folks more comfortable with clay than with paint. * Lots and lots of photos to guide you through the steps.
Cons: * Projects are all very involved (mine took 5-6 hours each), making it a poor choice for beginners or impatient types. * I would like to see more of a bridge from the step-by-step examples to making your own animal sculptures.

Pros: * Great information and photos. If you're a newbie (or are trying to recruit a friend to polymer clay), you can't beat this as a reference book. * Wide range of topics. Good suggestions for expanding on her ideas and taking them to the next level.
Cons: * It covers much of the same material as Heaser's previous books. * The order of the step-by-step photos can be confusing: sometimes they go only left-to-right; sometimes they go top-to-bottom, then left-to-right. It's not a big deal, but it can be annoying.
