It's actually a library event -- if you contact that branch of the library, they'll give you all the info!

Gina, this is absolutely wonderful. I'm really glad to have inspired you and wish you the absolute best with your writing. I have to read good books when I get stuck too.

message 157: by Gina

Gina I want to say thank you for being an amazing inspiration to me. I have been struggling with writer's block and I felt so uninspired. So I went to the bookstore to just find a book to read. Little did I know what would happen when I read a book called Lament. It MOVED me and I couldn't stop finding more of your books. I read Lament in a day, Ballad the day after, and then Shiver the day after that and found that Shiver is probably a few inches above Lament as my favorite.

I cried and I went through the emotional struggles of all the characters in Shiver. They felt real to me and I am so excited to read Linger because I want to know what happens to Sam, Grace, and the rest of the characters. I want to finish their journey with them.

All of this inspired me to want to start up my novel again and try to finish it so that someday I might inspire someone like me.

Thank you so so much.

Brooke Hey Maggie :o)

I just @ you on Twitter but figured you'd probably get a million mentions a day, hehe. I just went to try and pre-order the signed 'Linger' at the link you twittered, only to be disappointed to find out it's only available to US/CA residents :o( But of a bummer for us Aussies (and other international people obviously!).

message 146: by Posie

Posie Hey Maggie! I just wanted to tell you how amazing of a writer you are. I keep up with your blog and goodreads updates, and I am so excited for Linger! I also had a funny question to ask: What three things are always in your refrigerator? :) Thanks, and keep writing!

message 145: by I'amber

I'amber Your greatly welcome :D Oh, I forgot to say just like Laura, I'm counting the days till Linger. :)

message 144: by Maggie

Maggie Stiefvater L'amber -- thank you! In my head there are more books for that series, yes!

Laura -- haha. I know. I still think that was rather weirdly handled.

message 143: by Laura

Laura Glynn Yay!! Linger is now available for pre-order on Amazon in the UK!! Makes up for them rudely cancelling my previous order!!

message 142: by I'amber

I'amber I loved Lament. It was just as amazing as Shiver, if not better. All tho I'm not quite sure it's possible. I just got done with Balla & I was wondering if your stopping there with Dee's & Jame's story. For there are so many unanswered questions, about Dee's story anyways perhaps & I as just wondering if you were leaving it there, for us to fill in the blanks or if you were to write more on there stories. Your an AMAZING author, someday, someday I HOPE I can write a story as good as you can. :)

message 141: by Bianca

Bianca I think Shiver is AMAZING. It inspired me to create a piece of art for a project. I painted Sam at the edge of the woods, in Grace's point of view. But I added my own thing to the painting, which was a long path into the woods. I made the closer trees darker and the deepest trees thinnest and lightest. And then to finish it, I merged three lines from the first few chapters to give an approprite caption to the scene. It took me 2 months! Just thought I'd share!

Brooke Good morning Maggie :o)

I'm very sorry to bother you, but I just wanted to share that I have finally done a review on Goodreads for my view on Shiver. If you come across it at any point, I hope you like it. I was worried my words wouldn't provide your book with the justice it deserves! Anywho, that's all, you don't need to reply, I know I must feel like a pest! :o) Have a lovely day!

(Love the updates on Twitter *LOL*). The wait for Linger is so frustrating... not much longer now. Thank you for putting your work out for us to enjoy, one of my favourite Authors for sure!

message 125: by Sara

Sara Hubbard I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Ballad. Out of all your books this one was my favourite. I think it would be very difficult to write from a male's perspective, but I think you did it brilliantly. James was awesome.

Nikki I'm kicking myself for not reading Lament sooner! I'm halfway through the book and I've fallen in love with every character! Especially James and Luke. You never seize to amaze me. Shiver may have to be tied with Lament as my favorite book. And I can't WAIT to read Ballad. :)
