1188252 I think that we should know a little bit more about the time period that our RP characters live in.
Here the dealio. As you all know, Gemma and Kartik met in 1895 on her b-day and time passed by and then came May 1896 (Kartik was turned into a tree) and if you know Emma's theory of how and when Carolina was...concieved then that puts her birth around the year 1897. 16 years later would make the year now in our RP 1913. The king of England that year was King George V and his Queen was Queen Mary. If you want to know more about them look them up on Wikipedia. Now, here is where it gets kinda cool. They had children, specifically sons who would be looking for wives around the year our RP characters are being presented. They also had a daughter who is of the age to marry. So I am just going to name off their three oldest children. Because the rest are like 10 and younger.
Prince Edward VIII, age 19.
Prince George VI, age 18.
Princess Mary, age 16.
So yep. There is the "history of England". Gosh I feel like I'm writing a report!

611251 Haha! Thanks Jenny!!!! I really really appreciate this. Could you check out education in those days? And if women could work and be respectable in society? Hehe, plans are happening in my head right now with your siblings talk!

1298387 What, the girls are going to marry the princes?

1188252 Yeah, woops. I fixed it. I know isn't it cool that we accidentally placed our characters at the same age of their children? And the boys pictures on wikipedia aren't half bad.

611251 And, I don't think anyone knows my theory of how Carolina was conceived. I've changed it actually.

611251 Oh wait, they do know. Never mind! But I have two ways, one that makes Kartik still in the tree, and one that works with him being in the world beyond the realms.

1188252 I know your theory...sort of. But, I also have my own remember. I told you. Here is some of the stuff your asking for Em.

http://www.historylearningsite... describes women in the 1900’s like their rights and stuff.

http://www.kyrene.org/schools/... - I believe this is New York in the early 1900’s

Dancing is way hard to find and so far all I’ve got is stuff from 1960. Which isn’t going to work real well. So lets stick to the dances like the polka, waltz, etc. The dances Libba Bray used in her books.
And I haven't found education yet,

611251 Okay, thanks! I was just interested to see how men would ask the ladies, like if they still used cards. And oh, and clothes please! If thats not too-too much.

1188252 Oh and by the way yesterday. I found this cool website full of clothing that they wore back then and its fun to go "shopping" for your character because we really don't need to buy the stuff. Just describe it and we can change anything we want about it.
