Is it someone who just wears black, or do they have to be all out black magic with chains coming from their clothes? I think you're only goth, if you like black ALOT and do a little magic. A person who just wears black isn't goth. Goth is sorta like a religion.

Being goth means you truly admire dark music like Sisters of Mercy or Bauhaus. If you just wear black and chains and think it's cool is a poser fashion goth. That's not ok. You don't even have to practice any kind of magic. Being goth is being true to yourself, not acting all depressed and appreciating the dark side of things that normal people miss.

I can understand that. This is just my point of view from what everyone else says. Never heard it put like that.

I think that if you dont fit in and everyone keeps trying to stick a goddamn label on you like "emo, goth, punk" because you wear black alot, or wear chains, and black make-up, then your truly a non fitter. In my small little world, there are two catagories, non fitters, and weezers. Weezers are people who try so hard to fit in, or else just easily fit in. Non fitters are people who dont care whether you fit in or not. I think goths are non fitters. Dark magic, cutting, and sulking around are some peoples way of expressing yourself. Like me, i like blood, but i dont cut, i just watch gorey movies.

emo, is emotional, goth is gay, and punk is puke, jkjk!!! my friend made that up, heres my definition
emo: a person with mixed emotions about life, and can't make up there minds.
goth: dark and desolate, seperated from the world but connected thru black magic
punk: a mix of prep with goth, loves metal, but not screamo, wheres pink and black together

I consider my sister-in-law goth. She favors very dark colours and use to wear many death-themed pieces of jewelry. =)

My favorite color is black but I don't wear it alot. I just wear whatever. And now. I used to want to be Emo, but now it's just mainstream. Which I don't like. Goth is not gay. It's just something. I would be a loner.

my definitions of emo, goth....not too sure about prep.
Emo- someone who is emotional, not fully connecte with the world, writes poetry, and sometimes cuts themselves.
Goth- someone who sticks out in a crowd and doesn't give a *bleep* what ther ppl think.
I'm goth and my ex-bf (soon to be mt bf again) is emo....but he doesn't cut himself anymore

goth is just a word and it's meaning changes throught the year. personally i believe it to be something people uste to express themselves when they feel they cant do it any other way. my friends call me happy emo and my sister calls me goth but i dont cut im interested in magic, i live in fantasy cuz reality's boring, and black is the prime god of color[pink sucks anchovies].i call myself a complex individual and thats wat we all are
