I am over half way through Through a Glass, Deadly, the first book in A Glassblowing Mystery by Sarah Atwell. I am liking it so far. This is a new author for me.

I read this a few years ago and liked it. I think it's one of my higher rated ones in this series. I decided to quit the series after disliking THAI DIE so much.
I just started Murder Most Frothy ~I got it from paperbackswap. The Member that sent it to me...said that after the 1st chapter it "picks up".
Im on about page 12, it seems like a good book!

I just finished Embroidered Truths by Monica Ferris.
I liked it, I really like all of her books that I have read so far...

Finished Sew Deadly (excellent book!) the night before last and am now onto Stuck on Murder. I'm about 90 pages in and so far am liking it.

Everyone seems to be reading that!

I'm starting Sew Deadly while my husband disputes The Trouble with Quantum Black Holes with Scientific America while I nod and make agreeable noises.
I just picked up A Cat in the Manger by Lydia Adamson and Needled to Death by Maggie Sefton, which I plan to start as soon as the new Anne Perry is finished.
I'm currently reading Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke. I started with Cream Puff Murder and am working my way back to the beginning of the series.
I'm reading the new Christmas book by Anne Perry, A Christmas Promise A Novel. This particular Christmas book features Gracie Phipps.

That's ok :)

Heidi, that was a great review of Time Traveler's Wife. It's a complicated story and difficult to synopsize, but you did it. Readers have various reactions to the book, but I loved it (and cried buckets at the end.)

I just recieved that book through InterLibrary Loan. I'm excited to read it!

Hi A.F.,
I just discovered it and I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it so much that I went out and bought the second book in the series and place a hold on the third book in the library.
JM - I really like Sheila Connoly's apple orchard series. Both One Bad Apple and Rotten to the Core were good.
I stopped reading Stuck on Murder when the protagonist, after finding a dead body in a locked trunk in the lake, asked the police officer if it was an accident. I'm now trying One Bad Apple.

Dru,
I would like to know what you felt of Kilt Dead. I was not aware of this series before and it sounds interesting.

I just stumbled across Blackwork and wondered about it. Please post how you like it. It sounded interesting and I might pick it up but I wanted some feedback first.

Thanks I just finished the first one and really liked it. I added the second to my "to read" pile. Too many books, too little time :)
I just finished Some Like It Hot-Buttered and was cheered by the protagonist's sense of humor and kindness while not terribly surprised at the ending because of the author's effective character development. I'm off to a slow start with Stuck on Murder, not liking it at all yet, but wanting to since I love paper crafting.

I used to really like this series, but disliked THAI DIE so much I decided to move on to series that I KNOW I really like all the time. The Needlecraft books just seemed way up & down to me.

I have read all the books she has written -- wish there were more but when I finished reading the last on there was a note saying that she has passed. Keep reading them -- they were great!

Denise I totally agree with your assessment. I never felt totally invested in the story and the jumping around really gave me whip lash. Also, the ending didn't make sense to me because he could only jump to things that already happened to him when he was alive. I didn't cry either :) Thanks for responding!
Heidi wrote:What did you think of Time Traveler's Wife? I am still not sure what I think about it."
Heidi: It certainly isn't the best time travel book I've ever read but may be the most confusing in the way it was presented. I liked the story but didn't get too warm and fuzzy over the characters. Usually in a book where one of the main characters die I would be crying so hard that I couldn't breathe, that didn't happen with The Time Traveler's Wife. I did tear up slightly but not much. I would like to see Audrey Niffenegger try again by writing Alba's story but in a more traditional manner.

I like this series. The small town of Paradise, CO, I'm pretty sure is based on Georgetown which is a pretty little town not too far up in the hills from Denver.

I've only read the first one in the series, but am definatley going to read the rest. I just got the second one today.
After reading The Time Traveler's Wife I'm ready to go back to a cozy. I'm going to start A Charmed Death, the second in The Bewitching Mysteries series by Madelyn Alt.
