Dru: Thanks, I will. I like reading my series in order. Two of my favorite quilt series are the Benni Harper series by Earlene Fowler and the Elm Creek Quilt series (not mysteries) by Jennifer Chiaverini.

I was looking to see if there are more quilting series and found:

Queen Bees Quilt Mysteries by Sally Goldenbaum

Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mystery series by Arlene Sachitano,

and two other series one by Terri Thayer and the other by Marie Bostwick.

I haven't read any of these but even though I don't quilt I seem to be drawn to the stories. Has anyone read any of the above series???

I've read the Benni Harper series by Earlene Fowler and the Dewey Pellicano series by Terri Thayer and both are enjoyable.

2267186 I'm almost done with Plum Pudding Murder. I am surprised at the thought Hannah is putting into her relationship with Norman and Mike. Especially where she is thinking about Norman being faithful and looking at her with love and not being able to trust Mike to be monogamous. Even though she doesn't make up her mind in this book between the two it is good to see that Joanne Fluke is putting in some thought to the relationships of Hannah with the two men. Up until now Hannah has seemed like such a flake in regards to flitting back and forth between the two men. Several of us have said that we were going to quit reading the series if Hannah didn't make up her mind. I feel that there is some hope that she is looking at the attributes of the two men.

I read the first one in this series and have this one in The Pile. She had a thing on her website that she was looking for lawyer jokes for book #3. I sent her one and she e-mailed me back that she was going to use it! Supposedly if she picked your joke you are supposed to get a mention in the acknowledgements or something and something else, but I forgot what!

Congratulations. That is so cool. I haven't read any of Judi McCoy's books yet but if you get acknowledged you have to let us know. Then I will definitely read the series.

I like this series. The small town of Paradise, CO, I'm pretty sure is based on Georgetown which is a pretty little town not too far up in the hills from Denver.

2267186 Heidi wrote:What did you think of Time Traveler's Wife? I am still not sure what I think about it."

Heidi: It certainly isn't the best time travel book I've ever read but may be the most confusing in the way it was presented. I liked the story but didn't get too warm and fuzzy over the characters. Usually in a book where one of the main characters die I would be crying so hard that I couldn't breathe, that didn't happen with The Time Traveler's Wife. I did tear up slightly but not much. I would like to see Audrey Niffenegger try again by writing Alba's story but in a more traditional manner.

Denise I totally agree with your assessment. I never felt totally invested in the story and the jumping around really gave me whip lash. Also, the ending didn't make sense to me because he could only jump to things that already happened to him when he was alive. I didn't cry either :) Thanks for responding!

I have read all the books she has written -- wish there were more but when I finished reading the last on there was a note saying that she has passed. Keep reading them -- they were great!

I used to really like this series, but disliked THAI DIE so much I decided to move on to series that I KNOW I really like all the time. The Needlecraft books just seemed way up & down to me.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I just finished Some Like It Hot-Buttered and was cheered by the protagonist's sense of humor and kindness while not terribly surprised at the ending because of the author's effective character development. I'm off to a slow start with Stuck on Murder, not liking it at all yet, but wanting to since I love paper crafting.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I stopped reading Stuck on Murder when the protagonist, after finding a dead body in a locked trunk in the lake, asked the police officer if it was an accident. I'm now trying One Bad Apple.

Nophoto-f-25x33 JM - I really like Sheila Connoly's apple orchard series. Both One Bad Apple and Rotten to the Core were good.
