815983 This is so sad. He is one of my favortie authors. Rabbit run was so great I wrote a college essay comparing it with Babbit by Sincalir Lewis. Oh what a loss this is to the literary communtiy.

I have been putting off reading The Witches of Eastwick but will move it to the top of my list!

767086 Apparently he had lung cancer. I only read a few of his short stories but he has a huge list of accomplishments as an author.
