102. Past 100. I don't suppose I can stop for the year? Picked up three books at the library, two at the Friends' storee, and just ordered a few from Amazon. Ruined, as they say, by reading.
100. Homer and Langley A Novel Wonderful writing by Doctorow, fictionalized account of Collyer brothers on Fifth Avenue.
98. Clear the Bridge! The War Patrols of the U.S.S. Tang WWII submarine warfare, by a boat commander.
82. The Motley Fool Million Dollar Portfolio The Complete Investment Strategy that Beats the Market. This pretends to be up to date, but it isn't -- a lot of it is old advice before the 2008 crash, despite copyright and some comments in reference. "Fool" backs a lot of losers and dodgy companies such as Petrobras and Cemex that are tied to local governments. They do have some spectacular runs, but are risky, and bottom hard, too.
79. The Housing Boom and Bust by Thomas Sowell. Conservative economist's view, emphasizing government intervention and the contradictions of "affordability."
75. The Proud Tower A Portrait of the World Before the War, 1890-1914 Found reread after many years to be disappointing. Dense. Name after name.
70. One Minute to Midnight Kennedy, Krushchev and Castro on the Brink of Nuclear War Interesting look back at tense time.
66. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet A Novel Washington state and Japanese relocation/internment.
