I received an excellent suggestion from one of our members via goodreads e-mail for October. She said that she would be interested in a title very gothic since the month ends with Halloween.

So, with that in mind, what Southern novel, novella, short story anthology, or drama made the hair rise on the back of your neck?

Is it Tom Franklin's "Poachers"? Or William March's "The Bad Seed?" Perhaps it's William Gay's "Twilight". What do you think?

Please submit your nominations by August 15th. The Poll goes up August 16th. The winner will be announced August 20th. Short time? Yes. I'm trying to help those group members who find it difficult to find a book in time for our reads. I'll be sending this out as a broadcast message to all members.
