Out With the Old

This challenge was originally posted in The Challenge Factory
Challenge Creator: Shellbelle

Duration: 3 months from start date

What it's about

•This Challenge is simple! We all have those series that even though we enjoyed them we haven't gotten around to finishing them. This challenge will be all about cleaning that 'series bookshelf' off and getting ready for the 'In With The New Challenge'!

Key Points

•You choose how many series (books) you will finish!
•You may pick series that are in various levels of completetion. (you can pick a series that you have only read 1 book and have 3 left, or one that you have read 6 books and only 1 is left...it's up to you!)
•Any series you use MUST be started before the start date of this challenge (this is about finishing challenges not starting new ones....that comes late:)
•Re-reads are NOT allowed (again this challenge is all about cleaning your TBR of unfinished series)

Don't Forget

•You may create your list however it is easiest for you, but make sure to add the series that you are completing

•Make sure to add your books completed at the top or bottom of your list. Exp: 5/16 Completed

•Rate your books! Let everyone know what you thought of the book you completed by adding a rating...
1♥=Hated It 2♥=Not So Much 3♥=It was Okay 4♥=You Enjoyed this Book 5♥=Amazing!

Amy | 5 comments Hi :)

I want to finish a series called "The Sword of Truth" by Terry Goodkind. The first book was really good, and I've just read the prequel, but book two, although it is a good read, is really starting to bore me. So maybe this challange will give me to extra shove to help me complete the series!

Start Date: 12th Sept 2012.
End Date: 11th December 2012.

Prequel: The First Confessor (Finished: 11th Sept 2012) ♥♥♥♥

Welcome to the challenge Amy! I read up to book 10 I think and then just couldn't go any further. I loved the first part of the series but thought they got weaker as the series continued. It also really irritated me that so much of the first couple of books seemed like it was ripped off from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. The Wheel of Time is one of my all time favorites, btw. I highly recommend that series if you haven't already read it.

Amy | 5 comments You're the first person I've met that's read the series :D I haven't read the Wheel of Time series, I'll add it to my list :) I'll try anything with high praise.

I've just read Terry's latest book I have to say I was dissapointed at the end. I wanted him to go into more detail about the original rules of the Confessors, but then again I probably wouldn't have been happy unless I read the majority of the rules/guidelines. It's the nitty gritty that fascinates me :)

I haven't read that one. At some point I'll probably come back and finish the series.

If you like world building and details you'll love The Wheel of Time. That's one of the things that some people don't like about the series - it's so detailed. Personally, I think that's what makes it great.

Amy | 5 comments Yeah, I'd probably really like the series then, I love detailed books. I want the author to describe everything, even what the grass smells like and the particular shade of the night sky. When it's like that, it feels like you're actually there rather than just reading it.

Joni I think I just did that backwards sorry. I think this challenge will be perfect. I plan to finish Jefferson Bass' Body Farm series. I have completed the first 3 and have 3 yet to complete.
