1628469 Word count for Dec. 16 = 298

I only wrote my blog post. I didn't work on my book because I actually have to do some research before I can write the next scene. I don't think I've had to do that yet...This will be an interesting experience for me.

message 423: by Andrea (new)

1628469 Has anyone ordered a BK Value Meal lately? It comes with lots of cool "New Moon" stuff :D

Thanks for the encouragement on my word counts :D

Nothing much, just hanging out at home mostly. We usually go to my evil stepaunt's house on Christmas Eve (bleh), and then we go to my awesome cousins' on Christmas Day. Christmas Day should be fun. :)

My birthday's coming up too, and while we're not doing anything on the actual day, I'm having a party on the first week of January. I'm calling it, A Hawaiian Luau Under Winter Skies. It's going to be really fun. We're going swimming, ordering Hawaiian pizza, the works. We can pull it off (it being having a swim party in January) because A. I live in California and B. We can heat the pool.

That may have been TMI, but oh well. I'm excited. :)

Great wordcounts by the way. I'll see you later! XOXO Tink

Hi Julie. I'm glad you stopped by. I, too, am glad NaNo is over, though I didn't do most of it. Congrats on your progress of if. You wrote a lot! Take care. Enjoy Harry's brownies :)

655108 Hey Andrea!

I haven't dropped by in a while, so I thought I'd come by and steal one of Harry's famous brownies! *devours two quickly*

Great job on NaNo, by the way! Wasn't it exhilarating!? I had a lot of fun, but am happy to be able to slow down a bit now.

Thanks for the brownies! Great job as always, Harry!

1628469 Update: After much speculating, I have come to the realization that, unfortunately, due to my health condition, NaNoWriMo is just too much for me. I will continue to write, and I'm staying signed up with NaNo, but my goal is to write as much as I can this month within my own limitations. I appreciate all the well wishes, and I continue to wish everyone the best of luck.

message 403: by Andrea (new)

1628469 I needed to take a couple of days off, but I slowly got back to work today. Today's word count: 947. NaNo total = 8,446. Not the best for the goal, I know, but for my personal goal, it's the most I've ever written in such a short period of time. Go me! Congrats to those who are halfway there (Dee and Paige). Keep going!

message 402: by Andrea (new)

1628469 Today is a down day. I can't think of what to write! I tried doing a freewriting session, but it didn't really help. I did get a few words in though. Total today for NaNo = 106. NaNo total = 7,517. Freewriting total = 350. Total words for today = 456.

1628469 Help...someone make it stop. I can't stop my eyes from rattling around in my head. I've never written so much so fast. I LOVE NaNo! This is cool! Never before have I written so totally unabondened. What a concept! I think I need to stop for the night. If I write more before bed, I'll post my number update. For now: 1,755 words!!!!! Yay!!!!

Good luck!

message 390: by Andrea (new)

1628469 Thanks Tink :)Next time you stop by, could you sprinkle a little Pixie Dust? I could use some.

I finally got over a 2-day migraine that put a HUGE damper in my writing this week. Ugh!!!!!! I'll have to make up for it this weekend. Get baking, Harry :)

868779 Not so awful, Andrea. There have been days when my totals have been 101. :)

Thanks Dee :) Your encouragement is such a BIG help. And I like thinking in terms of 3 pages a day rather then 1,00+ words/day. For some reason, it sounds less ominous that way.

message 385: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

1457164 WoW! 1555 words is fantastic! Way to go Anrdea... :]

Do not get hung up on the big picture. Just take it day by day.

I know you will make it...If, however, something comes up, and trust me, in November tons of things come up, and you come short of the 50K number, you are still a winner...because you have written!

However, I believe in you and know that you can do this. Just keep in mind...three pages a day...they do not need to be written at one sitting...but if you can at least write an average of three pages a day...you WILL make your goal :]

I know you can do it, and it is wonderful to know that "I" have You here to cheer me along on the days that I feel down and life gets in the way :]

As a team, we can do it!

Grabs a breakfast Brownie and dances back to my cubical.

1628469 Well, I had a little panic today, and was ready to quit, so I guess they know what they're talking about when they say you'll want to quit on day 2. But I'm happy to say that I'm back on track.

Word count for today: 1555
