Matt (Warpath) | 2 comments Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any old folklore, myths, legends etc about how colours came into the world?

I know of a few from aboriginal mythology here in Australia, but I was looking for some from ther cultures as well.

Cheers
Matt

Looks really good Abigail, definetly something i can use. I'll head off to the library tomorrow :) but I would also like some traditional ones too.

Manybooks | 3078 comments Feathers Like A Rainbow: An Amazon Indian Tale
Beautiful Blackbird
The Story of Colors/La Historia de los Colores: A Bilingual Folktale from the Jungles of Chiapas
The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush

These are available at my local library; I have not read them.

And this looks like an original fairy tale about a moonchild who comes to earth to look for color:

Eliza and the Moonchild
