Mia I read it for a class, and I was taught that it was based loosely on the films of Quentin Tarantino and Oliver Stone.

Yeah, I could see Natural Born Killers' influence too. Ben Elton wasn't really subtle about it lol


Butterfly Natural Born Killers! Anyone else? Does anyone know if Ben Elton was referencing that movie in particular? Was this book written after NBK was made?

Especially the scene where a woman is dancing seductively in a redneck bar, and violence ensues... It's been years since I've seen the movie, but the similar scene from NBK immediately popped into my head.
