In this thread nominate one book. The theme for the first books is satire. Each nominee will be assigned a number. I will put said numbers in a hat, and draw 2 numbers. Those books will then have a runoff election. The person who nominates the winning book leads the first discussion.

Lamb and Confederacy of Dunces were selected from the hat. Since there are only 4 of us present, at least it seems that way, I will abstain from voting.
so i'm realizing there's no way i'm gonna finish this book in time, i'm barely a quarter of the way through and pretty busy over the next few days. if you guys think you can postpone the discussion date that'd be awesome because i'm loving it so far, but otherwise w/e i'm still in for whatever comes next
Mr. Zak the book is way shorter than it seems, there is little text on each page. Are you sure you won't be able to gut it out?
lol it depends by when. by next weekend sure. i'm about to start a new job though, the hunt is what's been occupying my time of late. doesn't seem like any sort of discussion's gonna take place at any point today... but like i said, no need to wait for me if peeps wanna get'er done while its still fresh. i'll just gear up for book #2 and continue with lamb on the side.
awesome. i won't know my work schedule for a few days but we should establish a specific time on either sunday or monday night a few days before... so people aren't just checking in randomly throughout the day lolwhat platform are you thinking for the discussion? right here, thread on ish, or maybe even a chatzy convo?
A new thread will be made on Goodreads. That will make it easier for people to participate in the discussion if they are mobile.

So while I will be participating and posting that which i have pondered, I wont be much use for the headship portion of this event.. I am however, quite curious to find out the various opinions gained from reading this novel.

Do you have any questions already formulated that I could possibly use to facilitate the discussion young man?
