Amy's 50 books in 09
I also teach middle school...social skills thru drama to Asperger Syndrome kids and after school drama...we are doing Fiddler on the Roof! I've been at this for 35 years...so long I don't remember if I was sane before or not.
Mary Todd & Amy--my hat's off to you both. I have a middle school daughter -- I personally think middle school is where we should send criminals to punish them!
LOL...sometimes I look at my female students and say, "YOU are the reason I'm glad I have boys." they of course flip their hair and say, "MRS. KAERCHER"
#14 Finished Chasing Harry Winston
i was kind of blah about the book--her others have been much better

Add this to your list!"
I added this after seeing a few other people's reviews! I am excited about it!
#19 Finished True Colors
I have thoroughly enjoyed all her books. This one not only beautifully tells the story of bonds between sister(like all her books)it has a story of wrongful conviction woven through it.

Thanks for your thoughts on this book. It is on my to buy list, but it will be awhile before I purchase it as in Canada that book is over $30.00. So I wait the year for it to come out in Trade Paperback. Something to look forward to for next year.
Finished #20 The Survivors Club
very cool nonfiction read about what it takes to survive, very interesting interviews and stories.
Finished #21 Flash of Genius
interesting stories of people who have come up with inventions and ideas--everything from tomatoes to the weather channel
Finished #22 The Reader(for some reason a search for this book gets you 40000 hits so no picture) Book on which the movie is based. A good and quick read and a different perspective on history.
Halfway there! Finished #25 Cloud Nine
A wonderfully sappy romantic novel, I sobbed through the last 40-50 pages.
finished #28 Dedication
nice quick read--loved the premise of the book--showing that boy who dumped you in high school and showing them what they missed.
Finished #31 Second Helpings
liked this better than Sloppy Firsts, I read this one to find out what happened to Jessica Darling and I enjoyed this one alot more.
Finished #32 Scarpetta
I have enjoyed all these books, its the longest I think but good forensics/crime story wrapped around the always messy personal lives of her characters.
Finished #33 The God Of Animals
blah for me, i really finished it because my students had state testing so I had 2 hours of doing nothing for 3 days and nothing else to read.
Finished #38 Fade
It was good--I liked the first one better. But good story and am still wanting to follow the main characters.
