=P Well, I decided to finally just return the books as it was quite overdue. I only had a small fine, so that was a relief. I guess I'll just have to check it out again when I have more reading time.
Ugh! My copy wouldn't let me renew it because it was through an interlibrary loan! I had to return it because it was overdue. :( I requested another copy that I hope will get here soon!
Okay, I've really got to get around to reading it! I finished Breaking Dawn so now maybe I can focus on Numb3rs a little more. =P
I've seen A Beautiful Mind! I thought it was good! I really want to read the book! Maybe for the next group read? :)
I haz read itttt I liked it alot! Expesially the game plan part...I've been wanting to see A Beautiful Mind for a while and now i really want to...:D
Wow! You're a fast reader! I'm still in Chapter 2 (haven't really been reading it much, obviously). Why don't we start discussing chapter 1 in that thread?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that each chapter is a different show/mathematical concept, so I think we'll try different threads for now and see how it goes. :)
Well, idk what the set up of the book is...but if each chapter is a different topic, then maybe different threads would be a good idea.
Cool! =D February 1st today, so we can officially start reading it (though I'm already in Chapter 2). Do you think we should just have an open discussion about everything or different threads for each (or maybe 2 at a time) chapter, so that you can discuss about what you've read and not get any spoilers (not that this is really a spoiler book, but...)? What are your thoughts?
Yay! I got my copy of the book yesterday! Has anyone else gotten theirs yet? It looks really neat and I only just started chapter 1!
It's not in my system either, but I requested it via interlibrary loan. Do you have access to anything like that?
How long do you think it will take you guys to get it from the library? They don't have it in my system so it might take me a little bit to get it. Maybe we could read it February/March?
Would any of you like to do a group read/discussion? I thought we could read The Numbers Behind NUMB3RS: Solving Crime with Mathematics by Keith J. Devlin. What do you think?
