1516048 I'm going to join in this year. I read 51 books in 2008 and 50 in 2007, so maybe this year I'll get a few more in there.

I finished my first book of 2009 today, The Thirteenth Tale: A Novel

1516048 Book #2: The Little Prince

Believe it or not, I've never actually read this story before. I enjoyed it and thought it taught a good lesson about life.

1418580 Heather I loved The Book of Lost Things so much that I have read it twice. I hope to read more by this author.

1516048 Wendy, I was actually not as into it as I was expecting to be, but I think it was the mood I was in while reading it. I think it will be one of those books that I enjoy much more the second time around.

1900151 What did you think of The Host?

message 26: by Heather (new)

1516048 it started out really slow for me, but about 150-200 pages in it got more interesting. i still kind of had a hard time with it until about the last 200 pages.

1516048 #24: Dead Until Dark

#25: Eat, Pray, Love One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia

i've been way too busy lately & taking so long to read Eat, Pray, Love really threw me off track. i'm going on vacation in a week so hopefully i'll get lots more reading time in then!

1516048 #26: Silence by Christopher Brookhouse

This book was AWFUL. It skipped all around and I thought the storyline was so lame and unsubstantial. I only kept with it because I hate giving up on a book and this was only 150 pages.

1516048 #27: The Da Vinci Code

I've been putting off reading this because I just hate carrying around heavy hardcovers. I was on vacation last week, so I decided it was a good time to read it. I really enjoyed it. And perfect timing- the movie was on TV last night.

1516048 #30: I'm Not Scared

I liked this book; however, it was very similar to The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

2539267 How did you like I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell?...I've read some Tucker Max and was thinking of reading his book...

message 48: by Heather (new)

1516048 Chelsi- I thought it was hilarious.. some of it was so ridiculous, it's hard to believe some of the things really happened to him, but I was laughing out loud like crazy. Not a book for everyone, but if you like crude humor and laughing at unfortunate things happening to other people, I'd recommend it.
