I have never been able to make heads nor tails of the order of responses in discussion questions. Aside from the ones with the least/most votes, there doesn't seem to be any organization of the responses. The newest comment could be in the middle of the page, and you have to scroll through all of them to find all of the new ones. Why is this?

This is why many, many people disliked that particular type of discussion thread.

and, yes- I very much dislike them as well. they're too hard to keep up with.

Hard to keep up with for you, impossible for me (I might have a tiny brain), so I gave up even looking at them.
