1715064 Hello Dee! It's been forever since I've talked to you... Happy Holidays! How are you?

I am trapped inside. :( My mother is having a party...

Bleh. Hope all is well.

3069274 I'm back.

My friend Jess had asked to read If Hell Could Love and I had emailed it and she had part of it so I can still continue to write it.

It feels good to be back!

868779 Thanks! :)

Ummm, yippers, I would know those brownies anywhere :]

1628469 *sets plate of fresh-baked brownies on desk* Hi Dee :) I'm glad to see you found my blog. Thanks for the book suggestion. My library carries it, so I'll have to add it to my list next time I go. I have a HUGE stack I'm working on now that I can keep through March, so that's probably when I'll check out the other one. Take care. *kisses Edward on cheek before leaving*

message 3876: by Elaine (new)

1226550 Yes, I know. Time seems to have taken advantage of my preoccupation and quadrupled its pace while I wasn't looking. Why does Time always so enjoy catching a person off guard?

Oh, did you read the interview with the Prime Focus team? You remember them, they put the improved "sparkle" into the New Moon movie.

868779 :) Stories can be addicting...

message 3871: by Andrea (new)

1628469 LOL I hear you...

868779 That's an excellent plan, Andrea. I've tried to do that, and I've worked on them a little bit. The problem is, I'm afraid I'll get absorbed...

message 3869: by Andrea (new)

1628469 Tink,

Write the ideas down, and whenever you think of more for them, add the notes. This way they're ready when you are :)

Andrea

Maybe so, Dee. I don't know what it is, but my dreams have been disturbingly vivid lately.

And there are these two story ideas, the reoccurring dream I mentioned above^^ and a different one, that keep haunting me... I want to write them so badly. But I can't desert my trilogy, especially not now when I'm just getting to the epicenter of the whole plotline. I considered turning them into short stories, but I just know that's not fair to them... they're novels. So I'm being tortured by ideas at a time when I can't write them!

1139740 Good Morning Dee! I'm going a happy dance because the book we've (20 goodreads authors) been working on has launched today.

SO if you like tales with a hook, here is 30 fun/scary/romantic/thought-provoking stories that are perfect for you.

http://www.menage-a-20.com/

My 2 shorts are called "Letting Go" and "The Foundation" and you can find them towards the back of the book. All of us helped with the 30th tale as a great big joint writing project, and all of our pictures can be seen on the author's cover art link.

You might recognise a few of the other authors as well: our very own Renee, Gwen, Paul, Rita, Henry...

Anyway, it's fun. And I think you might like it.

Some of the themes from a few of the stories are a little adult, so younger readers should probably check with parents before downloading.

Thanks, Dee. I actually got a few words written the other day. I intend to start writing a little every day again, even if it's just a few notes here and there. That should get my juices flowing again ;)

Wow, sounds like great new characters for great new stories! I agree with Andrea, I need to eat some some of the snacks you guys are munching on before bed!

Keep dreaming of great characters and story lines!

1457164 Hey Andrea,

Don't give up hope, just start writing about anything.

1. Go back to your story and add a chapter between chapters in the middle of your story.

2. Have one of your characters smell something, or taste something, or see something for the first time.

3. Have your MC explore a new city, or go to an art show. Have him or her do something that you have to investigate online. Something that you can teach you readers about.

4. Read a good book outside of your genre. Read for the author's writing style rather than their content. Try to emulate their style.

5. Go outside and either go for a walk, or sit outside and listen to everything that is going on. Write down everything that you hear and then incorporate that experience into your story.

6. Most important, tell yourself that you are the most amazing writer in the world, and that you are about to write something most wonderful. Do not let negative words about yourself as a writer enter your mind.

1457164 Thanks for the new link Ray. It always amazes me how you can make the mundane seem mysterious.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

that reminds me of this monster I made for english class. Everyone else made things like a cross between a bunny and cheese and I made The Spirit of Lost Souls. She was a beautiful woman with long cascading black hair darker than the mifnight sky, with black eyes reflecting eternal sadness and fear, and pale skin which made her visible even in the darkest of places. Her wings were made f black leather and attached to her arm, messages of her toturous past burned into her arm like 'Kill me' and 'Hate'. Her sharp, high screams are blood curdling as she flys overhead looking for her victim.

1457164 Hey Tink,

I think we have watched New Moon one too many times :]

Love the vision of you angel girl standing on a hill as the world burns around her. What a beautiful, yet frightening image.

I love how your mind works :]

message 3856: by Andrea (new)

1628469 OK, Dee and Tink, what are you guys eating before bed, and where do I get some? Great ideas for new stories guys :)

I totally burned out trying to do NaNo, and haven't written ANYTHING in weeks :( I need to just try to write something, anything, and get my juices flowing again. Ah, the mind is such a mystery...

1512958 New chapter of 'My Life in A Ramen Cup':

http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4994...

This one is called "Lovestruck Boys, You Will Be Smited". The reason? You'll have to figure it out yourself :)

868779 I keep having the most disturbing reoccurring dream...

A young girl, probably only seventeen, stands on a rocky outcropping in the ocean a few yards from shore. The waves crash around her, and a white dress flows behind her, her golden hair cascading down her back. A harsh wind blows, trying to throw her from the rocks. She looks up at the heavens and laughs, and suddenly angels descend from the sky. One stops next to the girl and they hold hands. The girl sprouts wings. All attention is drawn upon them and they're faces are so unearthly beautiful that no one notices at the world burns.

Creepy, huh?

message 3853: by Michelle (new)

1013780 lolz nice. cant wait to see what you find out. XD

message 3852: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

1457164 I suppose I will have to if they keep coming to me in the wee hours of the morning.

Oh, and Rebecca was standing on top of a cliff, overlooking the city lights of NYC. She was young, and had her hands stretched to her sides. The wind was blowing in her hair, and it was either early summer, or late fall.

She wore jeans and a hippie-style top, the kind that is so in vogue right now. I am not sure if she jumped, or if she was just enjoying the day. But, down below her was a rocky shore, and lots of angry waves.

I kept thinking..."Where is this place? Where's a cliff overlooking a rocky shore in NYC?

Guess I am on a quest to find the clues.

message 3851: by Michelle (new)

1013780 yes, but im still intrigued by the way you've written the character. i think you should keep writing with this.

message 3850: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (new)

1457164 Very Strange isn't it :]

Stanley is a name I would never pick for a MC. Especially a young man.

message 3849: by Michelle (new)

1013780 ooh, nice

message 3848: by Dee, Fan of the "Young Prose Society" (last edited 20 days ago, 12:41PM) (new)

1457164 Sits down with Edward on the window bench. Wow, what a day. I had the oddest dream two nights in a row. The first night, just before waking, I was introduced to a young man named Stanley. This morning, I was introduced to Rebecca. From those to meetings, the start of a new story began:

Intro to Stanley & Rebecca.

As he walked in the door…the air sucked out of the room. Young and powerful, each step was accented by his designer boots and tight jeans. Upon his black T-shirt an X marred a bright red heart. Whispers filled the bar, as everyone knew Stanley; and they all knew how much he loved New York City.
