I'm devouring the Hunger Games trilogy. I just got the last book on the mail today, so I'm very excited. I basically wanted what all the fuss was about, since loads of people were talking about it. I have to say I'm very happy I gave in to my curiosity. I'm loving the story. If you like fantasy and adventure, I'm sure you'll be as excited as I am.

I've heard it's good but haven't had a chance to check it out.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I expect to see it very soon. I read somewhere that Suzanne Collins actually wrote the screenplay herself, which can only mean it will be very much like the books. :)

The last book I read was Rabidby J.W Bouchard. You can read my review from my profile. I have to say it wasn't the best review. However the author contacted me and gave me some info on self publishing through the Kindle and has said he would stay in touch for when I finally try publishing my own work. Really nice guy and I will definitly be reading more of his work. Isn't this website great!!
Just finished Shades of Grey and am halfway into the second book in the series. So far...lots and lots of sex but very little story line.

I read all three Fifty Shades books and yes there is lots of sex but books two and three have much more of a story line! Stick with them Kaylin!

Just read City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare and currently reading Golden Boy by R.G.Lawrence and Frey

"Are you enjoying it? :)"
its difficult to read, written in 1932 England with a lot of slang words.

me too!
I just finished Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots by Deborah Feldman. Whether you are of the Jewish faith or not it really teaches one about this particular facet of Judaism and some of their rules.
The last book i finished was Interpreter of Maladies. I have not posted a review yet,but will surely recommend it. it is a wonderful short story collection by Jhumpa Lahiri.I am currently reading The Name of the Rose (halfway through) and My Name is Red(100 pages or so done ) Both have been a bit slow and confusing at times. but will finish them for sure as they came very highly recommended..
Julia wrote: "I just finished "The Witness" by Nora Roberts" i thinking of getting this one, how was it?
I've just finished reading and reviewing the Emperor's Edge by Lindsay Buroker. It's a fun read and is currently free in Kindle format on Amazon for anyone interested.

The Namesake and Unaccustomed Earth. I love her writing.
I finished The Mill on the Floss very interesting, will add a review later. Did not end how I expected it to. A ot of writing, not a very long story line.

Great! Let me know what you think of them.

I just finished reading these three by

I've really enjoyed them and the last one had such a cliff hanger..... I hope the Karen Luellen gets the next out out soon. :-) It's a YA Sci-Fi with some Action/Adventure and a bit of Christian influence.
Last two books I finishedThe Elephant's Journey by Jose Saramago (text) - 4****
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston (audio) - 5***** ... Narrated by the incomparable Ruby Dee, who deserves a 6th star for her performance of this extraordinary work of literature.

A Year in the Merde – Stephen Clarke
Audio book read by John Lee
3***
Clarke’s writing is not up to Peter Mayle’s style. There are some humorous scenes, but nothing laugh-out-loud funny. John Lee does a great job with the various characters and their differing accents. Three stars is a little generous, but (*shrugs with arms extended, palm up*) it did remind me of what I love (and hate) about France.

The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh
4****
Victoria Jones was abandoned as an infant and has spent her entire life in the foster care system. Now at eighteen she is emancipated with limited schooling, no family, and no job prospects. What she does have is an ancient Victorian Flower Dictionary, and the knowledge she gained during one important placement when she was nine. She leverages this into a job at a flower shop, and begins to blossom.
Diffenbaugh has used her experiences as a foster mother to explore the emotional wounds and difficulties of a young woman truly left on her own for most of her life. She mentions some of the faults of the system, but mostly she focuses on the impact of ONE good placement on a child’s life. Victoria’s emotional growth is at times painful to read about, but there is much in her life (and in this book) to celebrate.
I found the use of the flowers to send messages unique and interesting. I thought the ending was a little too neatly wrapped up, but it didn’t hamper my overall enjoyment.
I just finished
. This book was really good. This is the first book I have read by Lisa Kleypas and I was impressed. It is a heartwarming romance set on the beautiful island of Friday Harbor, WA. She weaves a magical story that is light-hearted and fast-paced. She is definitely one of my new favorite authors!
Just finished Ring of Lightning for the 4th time and am almost done with Ring of Intrigue. Really good books - excellent in fact. Just wish it would go past Ring of Destiny. I know she was writing Ring of Change but I haven't seen or heard anything recently.
I just finished Breaking Thru the Fibro Fog: Scientific Proof Fibromyalgia is Real. I rate it 4 stars, mainly because it does have a lot of medical terms in it. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who has Fibromyalgia, their family, or anyone who just wants to learn about it.
Just finished The Litigators by John Grisham and thought it was very mediocre. But I also recently read his new book Calico Joeand found it wonderful.
Finished The House of Velvet and Glass it dragged on for so long that when it did pick up I did not care anymore. 2 1/2 3 stars.
