Helene, I have no kids and don't watch much TV. Also, I'm a big fan of audiobooks :)Book 77: Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce
Maria,Congratulations! I'm glad you're continuing to post what you're reading - I tend to learn about a lot of really good books from you.

Book 89: The Accidental Time Machine by Joe Haldenman
5 books in a week? I think that's a record - even for me.
Maria,That's really something! I read that many in a week when I was on vacation at my mom's farm this spring. I was soooo tired, I didn't feel like doing much. And I had taken 4 from the Mrs. Pollifax series, plus a couple others. It pretty much took me the whole week to get rested up, and by then it was time to go home! But I did enjoy reading . . . sometimes, 5 in a month is all I get to!
I've read that many when on vacation before too... but not on an average week with work and social activities included. But then, they were quick and easy reads most of them.Book 90: Pitching My Tent On Marriage, Motherhood, Friendship, and Other Leaps of Faith by Anita Diamant

It was my goal to hit 200 this year. I'm afraid I won't make it if I keep on reading such long books!Book 140: Dune by Frank Herbert. LOVED this!
Book 141: Royal Exile Book One of The Valisar Trilogy by Fiona McIntosh - her best book yet.
Book 142: The City of Dreaming Books by Walter Moers. Gorgeous book with amazing illustrations. Funny too!
Book 143: The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian. I had some major issues with this one.
Book 144: While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky. Very sweet and poignant.
Maria, you are an amazing reader. I may reach 100, but that's partly because now that I've hit the 75 goal I've got a stack of kid's books I want to revisit. Things like "Pippi Longstocking" and "The Secret Garden". On the other hand, your list is weighty and absolutely full of titles I'd love to read some day.
Thanks Andrea. I made it to 244 last year, but had a LOT of short ones included in that number. I've been reading substantially longer books this year.Wow Kay, thanks! I think that's the first time I've ever been read an amazing reader - I think I like it :) I like to read a large variety of books, but tend to overindulge on fantasy ;)
I grew up with "Pippi Longstocking" (well... Astrid Lindgren in general) and love her!
Book 145: Emissary by Fiona McIntosh. Not nearly as good as her Valisar trilogy, but still worth reading.Book 146: And Another Thing... by Eoin Colfer. Trying to fill Douglas Adams' shoes is a thankless task, but I think he managed quite well.
Somewhere along the line I've missed 2, and I can't figure out what those two are! Ah well, never mind. The following three was read for Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon.
Book 147: Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry. Not as good as The Giver but I still enjoyed it.
Book 148: Who Do I Talk To? by Neta Jackson. Gorgeous!
Book 149: Evermore by Alyson Noël. Not recommendable.
Book 150: Last of the Wilds by Trudi CanavanBook 151: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

Book 153: Gifts by Ursula Le Guin
Book 154: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
Book 155: The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams.
Maria,Looks like you're the first to hit the challenge TWICE this year. Going for three? (Just kidding - I think . . .)
Ha! I hadn't even noticed I'd hit it twice :-D Nah, probably not going for three. I could make it if I decided to read nothing but Babysitters-Club and Animorphs (those only take me about half an hour each), but I prefer a bit more variety in my reading ;-)My goal for this year is 200 books, but so far it doesn't look like I'll make it. That's not going to stop me from trying though! ;-)
Andrea, LOL! Sure! Here are a couple:Book 156: Life, the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams
Book 157: Bloody Good by Georgia Evans

Book 163: Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. Very, very odd book!
Book 164: De døde brødre by Nick Clausen. A new Danish author tries his hand at a ghost story - surprisingly good.
Book 165: All the Lovely Bad Ones by Mary Downing Hahn. Disappointing.Book 166: Mission Drømmeprins by Pernille Eybye. A new YA. I wasn't impressed.
Book 167: Ateistisk andagtsbog by Leif Andersen. A very well-written devotional.
Book 168: The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud. I think I was expecting too much, because I was disappointed.
Book 169: Drager over Kabul by Morten Hesseldahl. Political suspense. Not half bad.
