Susan's 50 books in 2009 DONE
Happy New Year everyone!
Here's my first two books for 2009.
1. Dead To The World by Charlaine Harris
2. The Long Dry by Cynan Jones
Charlaine Harris is such a good author. I really recommend her "Sookie Stackhouse" series to anyone who likes vampires and mystery.
7. One For The Money by Janet Evanovich
First book of Janet Evanovich's that I have read, I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to read another one.
8. One For Sorrow by Christopher Barzak
10! Whoohoo...and good choices IMO...how could you stop at just one Evanovich!!!! or maybe you are into 'ones' one for sorrow, soloist...A is For Alibi would sort of fit your theme

I won't be stopping after just one Evanovich, I think she is one of my favorite authors. So funny, can't wait to read another one, but my list of books to read is so long and getting longer.
17. True Evil by Greg Iles
A great medical thriller. I think Greg Iles is going to be another one of my favorite authors.

I agree Lisa. I just discovered Janet Evanovich, and I love her books
What is The Soloist about? A lot of people have read The Road on here and it seems most like it, but I don't know if it is my kind of book.
Hi Susan,I just read The Hunger Games last month - loved it! Apparently it's the first of a trilogy. Can't wait for the next one.

I agree it was a great book. I'm eagerly looking forward for the next book to come out.
Susan wrote: "22. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke"
What did you think? And are you going to read the other ones?

I probably will but not right away, have to many others to read first.

Hi Melanie,
I loved it also. Can't wait for the next one!
27. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I didn't think I was gonna like this book as much as I did. I did'nt think I would like having death as the narrater, but all the reviews for the book said it was good, so I thought I would try it. Glad I did the reviews were right!
Mary Todd wrote: "that was a good one...I like Archer!"
That was my first Archer, I agree it was good!
31. The Resort by Bentley Little X-rated ghost story, can see why it was banded in schools. Horrible, senseless story. I will never read another book by this author, it was a waste of good reading time.
