632202 Do you need a question answered? Here is the place to ask!!!

message 2: by Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again. (new)

627841 So we're going to set a minimum word count for every day, and then try to stick to it?

message 3: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 Yep. You can definitely write more. Such as during Nanowrimo, for those who participate in that.

But you want to have a low minimum, because if you are busy and have a high minimum, you may not be able to make it that day.

message 4: by Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again. (new)

627841 Okay. I'll go post mine.

605478 Yeah mine is very low cause I can't always get on the computer for a long time.

message 6: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 You don't have to write it on the computer. It's just easier to count the words that way.

message 8: by deleted member (new)

yeah, ur right.
hi ren!

message 10: by deleted member (new)

:D

message 11: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 I KNEW I was forgetting something! A welcome thread!!!

message 13: by deleted member (new)

:D lol glad I could be of assitance.

message 14: by deleted member (new)

Hey, Roni, can we post if we made it that day, and how many words we actually did or something on our thread?

message 15: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 Sure. It's pretty much whatever updates you want, however it seems best for you to keep track of your own challenge.

message 16: by Seth (new)

1379900 Does editing count towards your word count goal if you have more words in the story after you finish editing it?

message 17: by deleted member (new)

Oh yeah, I was wondering about that, too. I need to edit my stuff, too. Do I still have to write that day?

message 18: by Seth (new)

1379900 *waits patiently* It IS adding/discarding words . . . .

message 19: by Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again. (new)

627841 Hmmm ... I think that would be okay. As long as you're writing, it seems appropriate. But Roni's the head mod, so let's see what she thinks.

message 20: by deleted member (new)

Wouldn't edting still be the same as writing technically?

message 21: by Seth (new)

1379900 *waits . . . again*

message 22: by deleted member (new)

So you HAVE to write every day, even if you've been editing?

message 23: by Seth (new)

1379900 Yeah, but technically it's not . . .

message 24: by deleted member (new)

unless you're totally adding a chapter, or rewriting a chapter!

message 25: by Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again. (new)

627841 I dunno. Personally I think that as long as your word count goes up I don't think it matters whether you're adding and subtracting words from a story. *shrugs*

message 26: by Seth (new)

1379900 Gurgh, where is Roni~!

message 27: by deleted member (new)

she left . . .

message 28: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 Sorry, sorry, I'm here!

Yes, I think you can count the words added to the story in editing as part of your daily word count.

message 29: by deleted member (new)

yes!

message 30: by Seth (new)

1379900 YAY~! Were you breaking the rules and WRITING? wait, that is what this group is about . . .

message 31: by Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again. (new)

627841 Then we're in agreeance. Words added to your story during editing counts in your word count goal.

message 32: by deleted member (new)

Seth you're talking in riddles. My mind's spinning from trying to figure out what you just said. :D

message 33: by deleted member (new)

so for the prompt thing, can we put like quotes down that could give someone ideas or something?

message 34: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 Sure! You might want to start a separate discussion under the Prompts folder for that. Inspirational quotes.

message 35: by deleted member (new)

okay.

message 36: by deleted member (new)

for the prompts folder, can I make a discussion with pictures?

message 37: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 If you want to, you can. As long as it can be a source of ideas, you can do it.

1305317 hey, Roni does writing for school count? Like if you're writing a major paper or something????

1305317 oh, and we might need another authors folder. :/ A-M is getting pretty full.

message 40: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 If you want it to count, I guess it could. You don't have to. I know that I won't be. Because 250 words isn't that much.

message 42: by Madeline (new)

1643426 hey can i comment in other peoples topics? will that piss people off? i dont want to be invasive or annoying...

message 43: by Michelle (new)

1013780 omg its madeline!

message 44: by Madeline (new)

1643426 lol hi!

message 45: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 Well as long as you aren't rude, I don't see any problem with that.

message 46: by Michelle (new)

1013780 happy new year!

message 47: by Madeline (new)

1643426 happy 09!

message 48: by Michelle (new)

1013780 XD

message 49: by Leslie (new)

837949 What about writing in our journals? Does that count? Sometimes I write there more than in my book I'm writing. What do you guys think? I think this group sounds awesome--great incentive!

message 50: by Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to (new)

632202 If you think that it counts, then it counts for you. If somebody else doesn't think it counts, then it doesn't count for them.
