Roni, I'll soon get to know Richard better than I probably want to

Yep. You can definitely write more. Such as during Nanowrimo, for those who participate in that. But you want to have a low minimum, because if you are busy and have a high minimum, you may not be able to make it that day.
Hey, Roni, can we post if we made it that day, and how many words we actually did or something on our thread?

Sure. It's pretty much whatever updates you want, however it seems best for you to keep track of your own challenge.
Does editing count towards your word count goal if you have more words in the story after you finish editing it?
Oh yeah, I was wondering about that, too. I need to edit my stuff, too. Do I still have to write that day?

Kenzie, My NaNo story died. I'm going to attempt Reawakened Soul again.

Hmmm ... I think that would be okay. As long as you're writing, it seems appropriate. But Roni's the head mod, so let's see what she thinks.

I dunno. Personally I think that as long as your word count goes up I don't think it matters whether you're adding and subtracting words from a story. *shrugs*

Sorry, sorry, I'm here!Yes, I think you can count the words added to the story in editing as part of your daily word count.

Sure! You might want to start a separate discussion under the Prompts folder for that. Inspirational quotes.

If you want it to count, I guess it could. You don't have to. I know that I won't be. Because 250 words isn't that much.
hey can i comment in other peoples topics? will that piss people off? i dont want to be invasive or annoying...
What about writing in our journals? Does that count? Sometimes I write there more than in my book I'm writing. What do you guys think? I think this group sounds awesome--great incentive!

If you think that it counts, then it counts for you. If somebody else doesn't think it counts, then it doesn't count for them.
