Lauren's 50 in 2009 (Will I make 75?)
This book completely blew my mind. It was hard at times to believe it was a memoir and not a novel. The hardships the children in this family- which brings dysfunction to new heights- are hard to read about, but from the very first sentence she had me.
I appreciated the fact that the author wasn't merely showing off and going for pity. It was a truly enrapturing read.

I'm just speechless I know more then half of your list here I have read and loved. I'm excited to maybe try some on your list that I haven't read!
Well I have been trying to push my boundaries a bit. Hance some of the books that don't seem to belong. I will have to take a peek at your list as well then!

The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs"
I loved this book. Do you plan on reading the sequel, Knit Two?
I'm currently undecided about whether I want to read Knit Two. I was slightly disapointed in the first one and I didn't really enjoy the writing style. Despite that I am still interested in it though. I guess we'll see...
