Hmmmmm.....Sounds depressing. I still need to read the Eve Duncan series. Started collecting books but have so many our from library that are coming due I can't read everything I want to. Plus, I seem to be stuck in a Romance phase.

2038272 Jenn, Just out of curiosity was L J Smith the same author who was attempting to sue Stephanie Meyer? I thought the book had Awakening in the title.

1147290 Jenn, what did you think of Heart-Shaped Box? Is Mr. Hill as good as his daddy? :) This one was on my list for a long time and I just forgot about it.

2038272 Jenn, LOL Yes, I meant in the series. Glad I helped in motivating you though. ;)

Viola - I liked it. Somewhere I had totally missed that Stephen King was his dad. I think that was a good thing though because I could read it without judgement. I thought it was a pretty unique concept. The one problem I had was that I had a difficult time liking the main character because he was an ass and I didn't find his redeemable qualities all that great. I did however get attached to the dogs.

However I LOVE his graphic novel Locke & Key. I highly recomend that. It's weird but good!

986586 108) Three To Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich

109) The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K. LeGuin

I really wanted to love these stories as they are classics but they were just so dry. This book was around 150 pages and it took me days to read it. One of my friends loves the Earthsea books so maybe it was just me.

986586 112) A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

Ok so have any of you gone on to read the other two books in this series? I thought this book was ok but man I really got tired of how self absorbed all of the characters were.

684501 Hi Jenn!

I read the whole series and really liked it. It's been a while since I read them but I do know that the first book was my least favorite out of the three. There was quite a bit of controversy over the third book but I loved it. Others may disagree but my recommendation is to stick with them :)

Thanks Melis for giving me your thoughts on this. I will try the second one and see what I think.

I had a problem with this series. I thought the first one was OK and only read half of the second. I just really didn't like any of the characters and the overall plot just didn't engage me. I would like to finish the trilogy someday, but overall I just wasn't impressed.

That is the trouble I am having with them. I thought they were all snotty and shallow. Melis said she liked the other 2 better so I am going to keep trying.

986586 114) Four to Score by Janet Evanovich

So after my husband and I listened to the first two on CD he asked me if we could read the next outloud since we did not have it on CD. Turns out I do all of the reading but it has been really fun to read these books together. They have us both laughing out loud often. I in shock over how much he is interested in these but hey it's fun.
Oh and I just have to say thanks to Lisarenee for getting us into this series!

2038272 Your welcome. I got my Mom hooked too when she was out here. Also, I bought some chairs from a furniture store and had a bunch of Janet Evanovich books on my seat and the man helping me load them into my car noticed them. He reads her books too. They put me in a good mood. I'm still reading her full series. It's not as good as the Stephanie Plum series, but it will entertain me until the next book comes out.

1453659 Hi Peeps!

My friend here also got hooked on the Stephanie Plum series. I definitely have to read them in 2010!

Jenn P, I think that's amazing that you and your hubby have been "reading" them together. Hmm... I wonder if I could convince my hubby. I managed to get him to read the Twilight Saga. ^o^
