Same rules as always must have a second to hit the poll and everything excepts June's genre is open.

Come on guys let's get some nominations for the genre of the month. It's also the month of my 30th birthday so maybe some horror or something with a lot of evil and decay. Post apocalyptic? Let's get some ideas lol!

Ok, I'll bite. Zombies! Anyone know of, or written, a good zombie book??

Come on, it's in honor of our esteemed zom-, er, moderator Scott!!!

Charles Verhey (charlesverhey) | 70 comments Oh, Zombie books. Yeah, I'll second that vote. The Resident Evil series by S.D. Perry is actually very good. Read those a long time ago. Don't know of any recent survival horror novels though, but I am a fan of the genre.

Tuesday I'll have a review of a zombie book I wrote recently on my blog if you are looking in general. I have a few others on my TBR list.

Mia Darien (mia_darien) Hmm. I can get behind zombies.

(It's easier to get the head shot that way. And remember, double tap.)

Steve Thomas | 197 comments I'll second post-apocalyptic.

Hey, what about a "misc" genre which would cover books that don't really fit in anywhere else?

To give an example, Nik's Knacks. Delightfully quirky, has a few grammatical errors, but the book was so out of the box that the box was nowhere in sight. :) It has one of the best lines I've ever heard in a book. "Why do you have an apple-pooping donkey in your bathroom?"

I'll second your off genre Jeff.

Also poll will be going up soon.
