What are you reading right now?
Laura wrote: "I just finished Hush, Hush and really liked it. I just picked it up today after work and finished it in about 5 hours, so I guess that classifies it as a "couldn't put it down" book. :)"
Oh, good!! I picked this up on eBay for cheap and am looking forward to getting to it in the next week or so.

Yes! I thought it was a great ending to the series. The last page actually gave me goosebumps it was so ..."
I think that's the book I'll read after I'm done with the Anita Blake books. The book stares at me at night whispering "read me".
Shannon wrote: "Finished
on Sunday then started reading
. Love it so far!"You are gonna love ittt, let me know when u finish it and decide to read the rest, whats ur fav part so far ????
I'm currently reading: Born of Fire (The League, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Red Kiss A Gods of Midnight Novel by Deidre Knight
I am currently reading Grave Secret, I love Charlaine Harris, and for those of you that have a kindle the first Meridith Gentry book by Laurell Hamilton is free right now!!!
I'm reading Skin Trade. I should have read Strange Candy because she talks about a lot of stuff happening that weren't in Blood Noir. So off today to find it so I can at least finish this series.
I am not sure if I have read Fade Out, when did that one come out? I have read all the other ones and I really love those books.
Jinnifer wrote: "I am not sure if I have read Fade Out, when did that one come out? I have read all the other ones and I really love those books."Fade Out is the brand new one, it came out 2 days ago. :)
I asked this question in another group too--so those of you seeing this again, sorry...Who has read the Psy-Changling series by Nalini Singh? I have read the first 3 and I have been waiting for

but I got #6
in from the library and was wondering if I could read it b4 the others come in? Will it mess up the backstory? Help!!!
Cherra, I just finished #2 so I can't answer with fact, but I can guess. :) You can look at the synopsis of each book and see who the couple of that book is, and since they're PNR you know they're going to get their HEA at the end, so it's not like reading #6 will necessarily ruin 4 & 5 for you when they mention so & so and his mate or whatever. But I'm guessing it might mess up the back story about the Psy and the Council and all that jazz, kwim?

I read the Singh books out of order and it really didn't mess up the storyline much for me. There may be people that are couples later that weren't couples early on - but that's about it on the storyline itself in my opinion.

Eh, IMO, you need to read these books in order. There is an overall plot that takes place as the books go on, but if you're only interested in the romance, you probably can read them out of order.
new_user wrote: "Eh, IMO, you need to read these books in order. There is an overall plot that takes place as the books go on, but if you're only interested in the romance, you probably can read them out of order."That's how I am, I need the plot otherwise I just feel silly reading them.
Eh, who am I kidding?
I would say that it would be better to read them in order... but it's not such a big deal if you decide not to.Like new-user said, there is an overall plot that takes place with the psy council.. but if you really only care about the romance between the two characters that it won't matter much. You can always figure out what's going, but you won't recognize some of the mates of characters and such.

I'm reading the latest book now, and there are so many teary moments. *sniff*
I just finished Terri Garey's You're the One that I Haunt, which was really good. It's a ghost/possession series with an ongoing romance.
I'm almost done with Patricia Briggs' Blood Bound. I jumped into this series later, too, but with both, it hasn't been a problem.
Next up is Ilona Andrews' newest, On the Edge!

Nice to see you enjoyed Terri Garey's book! I like that series and have the newest,
, nearing the top of The Pile.
I am currently reading Succubus Blues on my laptop. I have tried to get it at a bookstore and have failed. So I have gone against my better judgement, and I am reading it on my laptop. I am currently up to Chapter 10- and have only read it for about an hour.
Finished both
and
last week, both 5 star books!I started both
and
this week. Need started off kind of boring and it was hard to get into because of all the dialogue and inner monologue and no description. But then I kept reading and it got really interesting. There's these glimpses that something isn't quite right with the town and the teenagers in it. I'm really curious to find out what's actually going on. And I have a fear of looking out windows when it's dark out, I think someone will be out there looking back in! So, there's been parts where this book has creeped me out!
I'm reading Going Bovine at work and it's really funny but I haven't gotten far yet. I'm hoping things pick up for Cameron though because his life pretty much sucks and it'll get depressing to read about if things don't change soon.
I've got about 7 books lying around right now trying to get read. I started You Slay Me by Katie MacAlister. Next up is Foxmask by Juliet Marillier. Then Dexter by Design by Jeff Lindsay.I've also got Ill Wind by Rachel Caine and The Forest of Hands and Teeth. And those are just the library books!
My little boy's birthday was a few days ago, so I haven't had much time to read lately. Hoping to start catching up now with all these books.
I just finished YA books
and
they were both really good books! Now I am starting Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. And then I will probably start reading the Fever series.
I just finished this weekend One Foot in the Grave and Halfway to the Grave and am in the middle of At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost. Love them! People were telling me they're really good books and they're right!
i just finished a romance series that was pretty good by Lisa Klepas--just a cutesy no brainer to take a break from PNR for a bit. Starting
tonight. I have been trying not to read reviews about it b/c i was excited about it--have caught glimpses of negative reviews. Hope its good!

It's not. I was so disappointed. I am sure you will come to your own conclusions. I believe it will be crowned my "Worst book of the year".
Started Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost yesterday. Cried and couldn't put it down until after midnight (when I get up at 6:00 am). Very good book

I read Bitter Night A Horngate Witches Book last night. I forgot the authors name but her middle name is pharoh. Bitter Night is about Max, a girl tricked into becoming the best warrior and defender of the earth. :). Max was tricked 30 years ago and while she loves her new life she Hates the witch who tricked and changed her. The witch is no less confused. She tortures Max but actually seems to care about her. My only complaint is about the love interest. I thought he was weak but we did get to see his point of view. I guess that's why I thought of him as weak since he thinks that of himself. Great book. Can't wait for the next one. I found this book through a random Amazom recommendation. I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed by books I decided to "try" but finding this Jen may make me take a few more chances with new authors.
I'm currently reading
. I read
last week and overall it was ok.... I read a spoiler about the ending not knowing it was a spoiler and I think that kind of ruined it for me.
Susan (Suz) wrote: "I'm currently reading

I've never read anything by P.C Cast, are the books good?At the moment I'm reading Made to Be Broken by Kelley Armstrong and im enjoying it :)
Some people really love the House of Night series. I find the protagonist, Zoey, to be annoying beyond reason, but have kept on with the series for some of the other characters and because I think the premise is interesting. It's starting to become a bit too much for me though, and with what I've heard about the latest book, I imagine it will be the last book of the series that I read.

I really liked it, but I think Vaughn and Faith were my faves. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
But... now I'm reading Zen and the Art of Vampires by Katie MacAlister.

I liked Vaughn, but so far Faith is my least fave of the main characters. She annoyed me in Mine to Possess.
I just loved Judd--who thought the Ice Man had it in him. :)
Darkheart, have you read the Karen Chance books with Cassie? And if so is Zoey as annoying as Cassie? Hrm.

Smart move Cherra! I wish I would have been that smart! I really think I would have like the book a bit more....
