424383 Isn't it cool? Pretty soon it will be in 3D and rotate.

619166 I'm staring at mine right now!

424383 Hey, I'm glad you're liking the new website! I probably make my own star once a day so I can sit and stare at it. :)

Nophoto-f-25x33 What fun! Even old ladies like to have their own star. I passed it on to several of my friends.

1845812 Hey I got that email and checked out the cool little star-making thingamajig on the web site, very fun! My 4-year-old just thinks it's hilarious to push random letters and watch the star grow. The site has really changed a ton since I last saw it, just no time for much of anything but work while I have a second job during tax season. I was way excited to see my review on there, wasn't expecting that!

429071 Hi Karey,

Thanks so much for the privilege of previewing you wonderful book. Here is my take on it:

Move over J.K. Rowling and Stephenie Meyer and make room for a new fantasy and adventure master--K.S.R. Kingworth! Her debut novel will keep you turning pages as you get caught up in the mystical, marvelous adventure that takes place in an amazing universe. It goes without saying that after reading Secret Speakers and the Search for Selador's Gate all fantasy and adventure fans will eagerly await more tales from the fertile imagination of Kingworth.

681853 Ok, I am exhausted. It is 11:30 pm and that is very late for me! (I wake up every morning at 6m to get my son and myself up and out in the morning.) I just couldn't go to bed tonight until I had finished the book! I haven't been this excited about a book in awhile! My mind is reeling......so much to think about. The story stays with you when you are done! I am already looking forward to my next visit to Cloven Grave! Thanks again, Karey!

1318659 I agree with Weldon. the book is much more than fantasy etc... it has so may good thoughts that I have 5 pages of cuts and pastes of things so far that I want to remember and I am only about half done. It takes me a while since I am reading it on the computer, so I can't always have it with me like other books I read, while waiting. I would like to get back to it, but other things are calling me. Wonderful words and story and I would definetly recommend it.

1077254 Karey, I'm asked to review a lot of books, and I have to say that I haven't enjoyed a fantasy this much in a long time. Secret Speakers is incredible and your writing is excellent. It definitely kept me reading and I hated having to put it down. I'm looking forward to letting my daughters read it.

1845812 Here is a wonderful new story that will certainly stand the test of time. And the reason is this: while the story contains plenty of fantasy, magic, mystery, intrigue, and evil, it is not ABOUT any of these things. It is a story of faith destroying doubt, of friendship conquering fright, and of love overcoming fear.

This is a book that will never gather dust on a shelf as children will continue to read it again and again, gaining new and deeper insights into the worlds of Airen Or and Cloven Grave and realizing how closely those worlds resemble their own.

783996 I must say, when i first started to read Secret Speakers, not my kind of read. But I always finish what I start and i must say I'm glad i did. The characters just came to life and the movie was playing in my head. I will be reading this a couple more times just to read it lol. Thank you for the opportunity to read such a imaginative story. Defiantly a story for my future kids.

Nophoto-f-25x33 I think Kitty said it very well. I really enjoyed it.

427921 Secret Speakers and the Search for Selador's Gate: Finally–a new book for our children’s generation that is as Tolkienesque and/or C.S. Lewisinian as anything I’ve come across. The plot moves along quickly and the characters are deeply fleshed out. It is easy to sense from the beginning that there is an intricate, detailed world that these characters live in thanks to the author’s obvious writing talent. There is nothing shallow about this book.

My daughter was captivated by the chapters she’s read so far in the review copy and is anxious to read the rest. When do we get to see it in print? We’re chomping at the bit."

(I know Karey used my testimonial in her review copy, but I thought it was worth mentioning here.)

424383 Thanks for the good words, Kitty! You couldn't have done a kinder thing for me.

285766 I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi-ish books.
1. I seem to pick the bad ones every time
2. I can never pronounce the names/places and that really bugs me.

I liked your book. I'm glad you put that dictionary on your group site. I think it would be a good idea if you could somehow add it to your book. I felt a little more comfortable with the 'lingo' you used, of course some words where obvious. But I appreciated having the terms explained. I thought the plot flowed well and the characters related well with eachother. I think your descriptions are wonderful and not overwhelming. You give enough detail so the readers get the 'picture' but you don't go on and on with the scene when it's time to move the story along. Over all I would recommend/buy this book. In fact when it comes out I'm going to buy this book for my brother's birthday. :)
**I hope this is okay. Giving reviews is not my strong suit.
