"Ooh, and guess who imprinted on that mean bitch?" Chris said, smirking.

"Do you have a name, by any chance?" she asked curiously.

she shrugged. "dont really care what you throw at me. just hope you can take it right back. im a mean bitch, you know," she said, grinning.

"Jasmine," she didn't find it odd at all that she was talking to an animal.

"I would say immature, but then you would shoot back with something worse, so.."

she grinned indignantly.

Jack shook his head.

"Well, then, I guess? I never really thought about it like that,"

He rolled his eyes.

"thats what i thought," she teased.

"Animal empath?"

"No, I don't think I do.." Chris murmured with a sheepish smile.

"You shouldn't be," Rayana said quietly.

er... yeah. arent you one of those animal empaths? you smell like one.

she laughed. "oh, yeah. you just dont know me as well as you think you do,"

"I'm still sorry."

Jasmine blinked. "That was you, wasn't it?"

"Really now?"

he gave her a confused look, shaking his head. good time to freak the kid out, he figured. i can understand you just fine.

Jasmine looked in the direction he had pointed and her eyebrows furrowed in the slightest. "Hmm..strange.." she said under her breath.

Chris nodded.

he tilted his head to the side at her, then gestured behind her with his nose.

"so thats out." she smiled slightly.

Jasmine watched him with interest. He was a strange wolf, but she wasn't one to judge. "And where did you come from?" she asked quietly, as if expecting an actual answer.

"Mmm, yeah," Chris mumbled.

Rayana sighed. "Still what?"

"No need to be,"

"oh. i could look, but that would probably be awkward for you."

paul heaved a sigh. right, he was a wolf. probably the 'only' one around. may as well act like it. he walked warily up to her, sniffing the ground by her feet.

"It really only makes sense in my head.."

Jasmine took a few steps forward, letting her fingers trail against the bark of the trees she passed. If anything, she could climb up it with agility to escape.

she looked at him evenly, waiting in patience.

paul inched closer. the girl looked like she might just run for it, but she was probably smarter than that if she was being completely still. then again, she had been following him...

((omg, i know! but then i knew that when i would wake up in the morning, i would be insanely tired))

"Well..." he took a deep breath as he thought of how to explain it.

Jasmine's eyes widened in the slightest, her eyes flashing the slightest hint of fiery orange ((fear)). Animals never even showed the slightest bit of malice to her, so what could possibly be different with this one?

((omg same thing happened to me, except i wasnt writing! last i looked at the time it was 2 in the morniing, and next thing i know my alarms going off. what i cant stand is that i wasnt even tired))

"I don't actually." she murmured. "could you explain a bit?"

paul narrowed his eyes and stalked closer to the figure. it was a girl, and she smelled human. he bared his teeth just the slightest.

((i couldn't sleep last night because i was bombarded with ideas for ramen cup and nano for next year -_-' and i didn't want to get up cause i was afraid that i wouldn't know what was going on next time i was looking at it...yeah))

"No, it doesn't," he said quietly, but he had to smile a little bit, "But I just sometimes say things I don't really mean...but I can't not say it, you know?"

Jasmine stopped running a decent number of yards behind the wolf. She could still see it up ahead, but she decided to wait a bit before moving closer. She tilted her head to the side a bit in curiosity.

"does that imply that you'd rather be deaf? cuz that would really suck you know,"

paul glanced over his shoulder a bit at a flash of movement from behind him, but it must have just been his imagination. but then he saw it again, but couldnt tell what it was. maybe he'd hunt, he decided, and turned on whatever it was when he sensed it was close enough.

Chris shoved his hands into his pockets. "And I don't really like it..."

Jasmine heard the sound of nearly silent footsteps on the forest floor. She looked towards where the sound was coming from and saw a streak of fur. Her eyebrows raised in surprise. She hadn't seen wolves in this part of the forest in a while. She thought they had died out or something. Without even bothering to think of the consequences, she ran towards where the wolf was.

"oh, well, of course." she replied.

paul was randomly running through the large expanse of trees, needing to get away from the loudness of the tournament. it seemed that he couldnt get away fast enough. addie's fiance had been the last straw to his already bad day.

"I kind of hear myself," he corrected.

Jasmine strolled through the forest, listening to birds chattering over her. A small smile lit up her face and she brushed a lock of hair out of her face.

she frowned. "you really need to cheer up. do you let adrianne see how messed up you are?" she shook her head. "and i mean that in the nicest way possible, but still, do you hear yourself?"

"Besides the obvious, not much,"

she shrugged. "Nothing really, just hanging out here for the most part. I've been to one of these a long time ago; it's interesting to see how much has changed. you?"
