I wasn't even a fan of the Crawford/Gonzalez trade but that seemed to work. But this? this was ridiculous.

I had been following that. I am interested to see if all of this trading will pay off next season.

Justin (JustinBienvenue) | 1406 comments Nice: )

Jayla (jayxlove) | 30 comments I'm so excited for the draft on August 11 :D me & a couple of friends made a league and everything (:

Erin (Myztic84) | 782 comments I started watching it right before they went into extra time. I don't normally watch soccer but it was an exciting finish.

Elke (misspider) | 65 comments Anybody watched the final World Cup duel? It definitely was a nail-biter of its own kind...but "WE" made it this time! YEAH!

Holly (Goldikova) | 343 comments Olympics are coming up.....so who is looking good for the bobsled and luge events?

I'm not much of a gambler, have never set foot in a casino, but I love sports book on Olympic events; I won some money on the women's archery final back in 2012.

As a Scotsman, the English cricket team is one of my favourite teams; they never disappoint, unless it's themselves. Comedy gold ;)

Sounds a bit like the typical Welsh rugby fan supporting 2 teams - Wales, and whoever is playing against England!

Football started?

Steve | 39 comments maybe when Football is over but not now

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod
It's never "too" anything for hockey.

Particularly crazy.

Even the fans are narking futz.

Squire (srboone) | 661 comments Well, at least the NFLers won't be wearing pink anymore this season. I've always detested that color. KC also turns all their fountains pink for the month of October. I think it looks ugly.

Great cause. Horrible color.

Steve | 39 comments too warm for hockey, then they are still playing in May or June, crazy

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod
HOCKEY SEASON!

Steve | 39 comments nah, College Basketball season

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod
Okay.

Stop sulking.

It's hockey season.

Squire (srboone) | 661 comments I wasn't whining. It was a bad season. Time to move on.

I'm not a hockey fan.

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod

Squire (srboone) | 661 comments Very bad.

Steve | 39 comments bad season for you then

Squire (srboone) | 661 comments There's one in every crowd.

As a Yankees fan, there are five levels of a successful season:

1. The Yankees win the series
2. The red sox don't win the series
3. The Yankees get farther in the postseason than the red sox.
4. The red sox don't make the postseason and the Yankees do. (That epic sox slump at the end of the 2011 season was so much fun to watch.)
5. The red sox don't make the postseason (But neither do the Yankees.)

I don't even grant capital letters to the red sox...

Justin (JustinBienvenue) | 1406 comments Red Sox are the World Series Champions!! Woooo!!

Chris (flahorrorwriter) | 3701 comments Interesting matchups today, watching the Red Zone Channel, which is awesome! Stress free football since my winless Steelers have the week off!

Ken, the Pence/Berkman/Bourne trades were status quo for teams that are on the market/being sold - the old owners dump all the large contracts they can. You think you're ticked? I'm still pissed about the Nolan Ryan trade!! And the more recent dumpings of Willy Tavarez and Billy Wagner.

But, you can say you got to see the Mike Scott/Knuckleball Niekro (well, 1 of 'em)/Nolan Ryan staff...if only they'd had someone besides Glenn Davis who could lift the ball out of the infield...

After watching my 1st couple of games since they moved to the American League, I've written this poem in their honor.

It's a blank verse, rhythmically unaligned piece I call 'The Game':

*Ahem*

The
Designated
Hitter
Sucks.

Arsenal? Isn't that the band of lunatics who think Chicharito is a good idea? ;) Seriously, I hope for your sake they come to their senses! CH-14 is a virus that infests teams and kills them from the inside.

And fie on Portland! If the Dynamo can ever get their entire squad together, I am predicting another run (the National Team call-ups are coming around again, though...and although Carr is fresh off the injured list, he has yet see the pitch this season).

Manson | 55 comments Arsenals are going to kick everyone's ass in soccer thank you very much for your time :D .... And for an American team Portland Timbers all the way!

I forgot all about the Belmont was away for the weekend. Who won and how did you do? Did you win anything?

Justin (JustinBienvenue) | 1406 comments Well I guess David Stern can enjoy his last year with his own rigged finals. Next year Pacers and or Grizzlies can get in without having to worry about getting booted cause of a corrupt commish putting money in his pocket.

Michael (mikedecshop) | 2020 comments Belmont Stakes today

Chris (flahorrorwriter) | 3701 comments Is it football season yet?

Justin (JustinBienvenue) | 1406 comments I want a Grizzlies/Pacers final but not if David Stern has anything to say about it

Gatorman | 9456 comments Knicks are done. Nothing to look forward to for next season. Just another day being a Knicks fan.

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod
More likely than a Ranger scoring rally.

Gatorman | 9456 comments That's what I'm afraid of. Can't expect a Lundqvist shutout every game.

Jon Recluse | 12161 comments Mod
Too late.

They scored like that in Game 7.

They're done for the season.....
