Guess That Quote #1:

"When I first met you, I thought you were unlike anyone else I had ever known. You made me laugh."

What novel is this quote from and who says it?

Guess That Quote #2:

"She'll be fine now," _____ said. "Why don't you boys go ahead? _____ can give me a hand packing up. That's code for girl talk , in case you missed it."

What novel is this quote from and who says it?

Lucinda | 1857 comments Dear Booknut 101,
I know the first one which is beautiful & it is from 'Clockwork Prince'. It is so romantic and heartfelt that i loved it!! but then perhaps i am just a big romantic, soppy person?!
The second quote is giving me a bit of grief as i have apsolutely no idea where it is from & i am trying to rack my brains but cannot picture it; i perhaps have not read the book. I will probably be kicking myself afterwards when i realise what book it is from!
Lucinda Xx

YAY!!! Ok, the first quote is definitely from Clockwork Prince! Maybe that one was a little obvious, since I - and the rest of the female fandom - have designs on Will Herondale, but I couldn't resist! And the second...well! You'll just have to wait and see!

Ok, ok...I'll give some clues!

1.) Both ______s are female
2.) The person who is going to be giving the speaker a hand packing up is the main protagonist
3.) It is from the second book in the series
4.) The series is written by an Australian author

Good luck:D

Gees!!:D Ok, ok...MORE clues?!

"She'll be fine now," _____ said. "Why don't you boys go ahead? _____ can give me a hand packing up. That's code for girl talk , in case you missed it."

The previous clues:
1.) Both ______s are female
2.) The person who is going to be giving the speaker a hand packing up is the main protagonist
3.) It is from the second book in the series
4.) The series is written by an Australian author

The new clues:
1.) One character is partially named after a flower
2.) The series is set in a futuristic Australia
3.) The title of this book as something to do with the sun being at a certain position

Rue~alwaysa1directioner~ (Ruealwaysa1directioner) | 104 comments Yay! Thx!

Quote #1

A pair of dark eyes that hid more than they revealed and some broad shoulders and a mouth that could be cold and thin and then suddenly widen into a generous grin when you thought it was impossible.

Quote #2

“I’ve been waiting . . . for you. Next time—” He opens his eyes and stares at me.
I shake my head, can’t stop denying what he’s saying. “Rest now. You’l be fine.”
His eyes drop closed. “You need to let me go.”
I kiss his forehead and whisper, “I can’t.” I’m not ready. I’m so not ready."

Quote #3

Because I was right. For the two of us, home isn’t a place. It’s a person.
And we’re finally home.

Quote #4

This is our start. This is the moment it becomes real. We are _________. We are infinite. Me and __________. The first boy I ever slow danced with, ever cried over. Ever loved.

Quote #5

“I’ve heard this story,” he smiles.
“Oh yeah?” I ask, losing myself in his dark eyes that are now shining with elation. “How does it end?”
“It doesn’t end,” he says, pul ing me close. “It begins, like this.”
As his mouth comes down to mine, my heart lifts free of its burden and soars. I’m back where I belong.

Good Luck Guessing!;)

Here are some more!

#1:
“I never kid about my warrior demigod status."
"Oh. My. God." I lower my voice, having forgotten to whisper. "You are nothing but a bird with an attitude. Okay, so you have a few muscles, I’ll grant you that. But you know, a bird is nothing but a barely evolved lizard. That’s what you are.”

#2: “What? Don't British women know how to use their knees?”

#3: “Curiosity killed the cat,”_____ remarked, his dark eyes unreadable.
____ rolled her eyes. Why did everyone say that to her? “People always forget the rest of the saying,” she complained. “‘And satisfaction brought it back.”

#4:
“Kill her for me," she said in that whiny little-girl voice.
____ took a step toward me, wearing an expression that told me he was only too happy to oblige his lady love.
"Oh, what?" I said. I wasn't even scared. I didn't care anymore. The numbness in my heart had pretty much taken over my whole body. "You always do what she tells you? You know, we have a word for that now. It's called being whipped.”
