message 1: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) yeah hey made a new discussion

message 2: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: This floor is still safe but not as safe compared to my chamber. There are still some rogue military androids wandering. You know, before I figured out how to immobilize them, turrets could actually move freely with their legs.

Most of them ended up killing themselves in the process. Of course. If they were clumsy enough. Hehe.

digikids | 389 comments [I'm going to start doing story format now just because it's easier.]

I glanced up at a nearby camera. "Could you just call them turrets instead of that long name?"

message 4: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) "I could. But that would be going against their proper titles."

message 5: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "Everyone else calls them turrets." I start to wander around again, knowing I could still talk to GLaDOS where ever I happened to end up.

message 6: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS diverts her path, blocking a few corners towards elevators with panels. "Hm. That's nice. And I bet everyone else calls you 'Liz', but that's not your real name."

message 7: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "How do you know?" I stop and give another camera a quizzical look.

message 8: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Facial recognition wired directly into the FBI computer files database.

message 9: by digikids (last edited Apr 01, 2012 07:13PM) (new)

digikids | 389 comments "Hm. Does that happen to have my age on it too?"

message 10: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Well, yes. But it's not as if I was able to figure that out right away. I had you searched after you informed me of your age.

message 11: by digikids (last edited Apr 01, 2012 07:17PM) (new)

digikids | 389 comments "I still can't believe you couldn't figure out my age..." I said, decided to continue to walk around, and started doing so.

message 12: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: You know, I really don't know EVERYTHING. Not all AIs do.

message 13: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I didn't reply, but walked in silence for several minutes.

"Do you ever get lonely?" I asked, quite suddenly and randomly.

message 14: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Lonely? Why would I? I find alone time to be the best time.

message 15: by digikids (last edited Apr 01, 2012 08:59PM) (new)

digikids | 389 comments "I... um..." Okaaaayyy... words haven't failed me before, why should they fail me now?

"Idunno," I said in a small voice.

message 16: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) same as on DA. < then 'i' then > and after the italics part you want to end italics with < then / then i then >
--

GLaDOS: Curious again. I see.

message 17: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments [html confuses me. I prefer bbcode]

"Yeah... I suppose." I said, and then noticed a panel that was slightly pushed out from the wall. I nudged it back into place with my foot and continued on.

message 18: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: *monitors her*

message 19: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I walked for a while more, not really caring where I ended up. And since I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, I soon found myself standing outside of GLaDOS's chamber. The door automatically opened, making for a rather awkward situation.

message 20: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Oh. Well there you are. Not that I wasn't expecting you. After all, there are cameras in every corridor.

message 21: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "...It was probably a retarded idea to not pay attention to where I was going."

I walked in because there was nothing else to do at the moment, even though the sight of the giant AI hanging from the ceiling still made me a little nervous.

"So, uh, hi, I guess."

message 22: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Yes? Come in. It's not as if I'm going to bite you or anything. *slight friendly laughter*

message 23: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I walk in further, relaxing a little. "It's just that I never really realized how, well, big you are last time I was in here because of my sugar induced stupidity."

message 24: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: *nudges her away from the door with a mechanical arm, closing the door behind her*

Well, no need to be shy. Unless you have an irrational fear of large spaces- or objects. In which case, I guess that gives you a right.

message 25: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I grinned. "No irrational fears of large things here."

message 26: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) "Good. Because this facility takes up over 200 underground acres."

The domestic android returns with a few bags of groceries and a comforter-blanket.

"Oh, that's nice," she says sarcastically as she shoos the android away to make her something to eat, leaving the blanket with Liz.

message 27: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I kind of stared at the blanket, not really sure what to do with it.

message 28: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) In the chamber, there are hundreds of cubes stacked in front of and ontop of each other. GLaDOS isn't looking at her, but glances back every few minutes as she sorts files in her own mainframe. She gave a slight laugh, "By the look on your face, I'd say you have questions."

message 29: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "Just wondering what to do with the blanket," I said, shrugging.

message 30: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) "That seems like a pointless question. What does one typically do with a blanket?"

message 31: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I stare blankly up at the AI after poking the blanket a bit with my foot.

[Assuming the android left it on the ground]

message 32: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) "Suit yourself, then."
She remains silent, returning to her still state as she re arranges data files.

message 33: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I decided to spread the blanket out a bit and started sitting on it and watching GLaDOS. She was remaining pretty much motionless, and I began to grow curious as to what she was doing.

"What you you doing?" I asked, figuring that she would just ignore me if she was too busy doing whatever she was doing to hold a conversation.

message 34: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) "Sorting files. Discarding the old, copying the new."

message 35: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "Ah."

My mind wandered to my sketchpad I had left at home when I had made my hasty break for freedom. If it had it with me, this would've been a great time to try to draw GLaDOS. Even though she was being conveniently still, I imagined she would be a challenge to draw with the amount of details on her.

message 36: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: *hums*

message 37: by digikids (last edited Apr 02, 2012 06:18PM) (new)

digikids | 389 comments It was odd how normal humming combined with the computerized drone that GLaDOS's voice possessed came out so... musical.

I let my eyes wander around the central AI chamber, not really caring exactly where I looked.

message 38: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: *continues humming*

message 39: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments I let myself fall backwards on the blanket and started to lay on my back, staring up at the ceiling.

message 40: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: There isn't much to look at up there.

message 41: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "I just like laying on my back."

message 42: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: You know, laying on your back isn't bad for you, but it does no real good for you, either.

message 43: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "So? It's comfortable, and that's what matters."

message 44: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: Curling up in the fetal position is comfortable for some people, too. But is it good for their backs? Absolutely not.

message 45: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "...And you called me a pessimist." I smirked a bit as I said this.

message 46: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) GLaDOS: I'm technically neutral. Ha ha. *sarcastic tone*

message 47: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments "Yeah right." I said, now grinning.

message 48: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) *the domestic android returns with a small white box, then leaves.*

message 49: by digikids (new)

digikids | 389 comments [Um, great details there... what did it do with the box before it left? Or is it just mysteriously floating somewhere around the room?]

message 50: by dairy (new)

dairy (dairymold) (oh yeah
oops
handed it to her)
