Hi,
Besides this book being a very good one, it seems that the author has stolen many of his ideas from elsewhere. If you ever get your hands on the computer-game Sacrifice, you'll know what I'm talking about. Right now I'm readings Alastair Reynolds' Redemption Ark, and he not only used the term "Idlewild" already, but he also describes the scenario where a scifi-culture raises kids in virtual environments. Coincidence?
