Anna (SylviaGrant) | 42 comments I have never really enjoyed reading about violent battle scenes in history so when my sister brought home The Iliad from the library and so I decided to give it a shot...I mean what possibly be so bad about it? It's an epic poem written by Homer.. After listening to how a sword went through a soldier's shoulder and thus killing him, I had quite enough of The Iliad and started listening to my own audio-tape and faintly hearing in the background and now and then, I catch bits and pieces of The Iliad from my sister's end of the room and it never fails to make me shudder or feel sick to my stomach. Homer must have loved writing about how each solider died because he wrote each detail with the skill that he did with the first solider and this time he added different killing areas like for instance: it went through his bronze helmet and through his brain that made his get the picture. I can't see why my sister likes it.

Anna (SylviaGrant) | 42 comments And has know...romance or anything that is good enough to read time and time again! Paris fights over Helen and that gets ANNOYING!!!!!! I don't want to be Hunger Games or Twilight but they should have some more tender moments than non-stop action scenes. :P

Joanne♥~Bookworm Extraordinaire I liked the Iliad but I like the Odyssey more. It has more adventure in it.

Anna (SylviaGrant) | 42 comments I know right! It didn't really have that much adventure otherwise than constantly fighting! and it's all over a drop dead gorgeous woman. What the flipping heck??
