Yea. It is not posted on goodreads because if you post it here Otis Chandler, the creator, gets COMPLETE copyright of it. That is dumb.
I changed it AGAIN! OMGSH the news channel just went PINK all of a sudden. Hmmmmmmm.......... It's back! :D
Love wrote:" Of course, Lockart is WAY more good looking then Pettigrew." Well, Pettigrew is pretty much half RAT.....
I guess Branden was talking about the original topic.
The video Katelyn posted does show the worst moments of Dumbledore's portrayal on screen, I think. Though to be fair, Gambon isn't that bad in the dormitory scene at the end of GoF, and like I've already said, he's great in HBP
I agree with Beatrix on Lockhart. I would call him an antagonist in CoS, if not a villain. He is such an annoying character with a huge ego (though certainly amusing to read about) and is also a coward, but I think the way he takes credit for peoples' work and wipes their memories is rather "sinister". I also agree with Shae that Pettigrew and Lockhart are similar in that they're cowards seeking popularity. Lockhart is the kind of person who would side with those among whom he would be the most popular when times are good and would switch sides if necessary when times when times are bad to be on the side of the strongest who would protect him. (I like the scene with him in OotP, but I agree with JKR in that I don’t really want him to recover.)
To answer Ella’s question: my least favorite DADA teacher is Quirrell – Lupin is the best teacher and the imposter Moody, Umbridge, Snape and Lockhart are more interesting characters in my opinion.

kk...watch this...it's like a agreement...but it's starts with them saying Dumbledore then it gets to him getting angry even the wall thing.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4JgjXWEh...

Yupp
About the Lockart thing: ur right, hes totally complex!
I wouldn't exactly call him an antagonist, as he would of course always side with the "good guys" in my opinion when it comes to harry vs voldy, so he was almost always on harrys side (when he wasnt on his own), but like you said, his cowardness would possibly lead him to go with Voldy, very much like Peter Petigrew. In fact, the two have a LOT in common:
Both Lockart and Pettigrew (did i spell that rit?) have:
A cowardly personality
Want fame
Want glory (this is more L than P)
Want POPULARITY
Of course, Lockart is WAY more gud looking than Peter (but not so much in the movie lol L wasnt that fab in my opinion :D)
Favorite female characters:
1. Bellatrix Lestrange
2. Hermione (though sometimes I think she's a bit "too much" clever, kinda hard to believe)
3. Minerva McGonnagall
Favorite male characters:
1. Severus Snape
2. Sirius Black
3. Dumbledore (of course!)

I haven't stopped to think about Umbridge as a character. JKR made her so well that I just can hate her. But now that I think about it, you're right. She's a villain, in some sort of way, like Voldemort: she's evil for the pure pleasure of being evil.
JKR gave us, though, a more complex character as a "villain" in my opinion: Gilderoy Lockart. That was a very, very complex character to me. I can imagine him joining to the Death Eaters, because he was a coward, but at the same time, he would have been useless to the Order of the Phoenix. I don't know if "villain" would be the exact word to describe him. But he would be one of my favorite antagonists =)
Really? She's my favorite villain (she's so evil in a twisted, sadistic, pink cardigan way) and is the reason I love OotP so much.
Umbridge gives me the heebie jeebies! I just hate even reading or HEARING about her! (No offense to you "Umbridge lovers).
I've never really liked Tonks either, but everyone seems to love her. My favorite female characters are Hermione, Luna, and Mrs. Weasley. I actually also love Umbridge as a character, but not as a person, obviously.
