Lillian stood at an easel in the art studio, paint smudged on her cheek and smock, her grey pleated skirt, protected by the old smock. Spike, rested next to the purple paint on the small table next to her. Using her brush she carefully added some purple to a section of the painting and then stepped back to examine her work. Damn…..it needs something…but what?!
"It needs some red"Abby said as she walked in.She wore her paint covered smock and her hair was tied into a messy bun.She had her paint brush in her hand and she moved to an easel next to Lillian
Lillian smiled, "Thanks. I don't do red through. Only cool colors. They tend to stay with my essence better." she nodded and shrugged before going back to the painting, which was all blue and violet. "Who are you anyway?"
"Im Abby"She said with a smile.She put her paintbrush into a cup full of water and sighed.She grabbed her book from a pocket on her smock and opened it to a page with a house and some trees.One tree had a tire swing and there was some kids in the background playing
Lillian nodded and continued to paint. She looked over briefly and raised a brow in Abby's direction, "Why the sigh? You depressed?" She asked curiously, knowing alot of artiists had emotional issues and tragic back stories. Spike meanwhile climbed on the purple paint bottle.
Abby looked up"Nope"She said with a smile.She picked up her paint brush and dipped it into the green paint and lightly pressed it againest the canves
Finishing with her painting Lillian stepped back and inspected it a moment before frowning and picking it up. Carrying it over to the trash bin she dropped it in before heading back to her easel to clean up, humming as she did so. The painting of her water lily sitting in the trash can like an old sock.
Lillian shrugged, "It was ugly and not what I wanted." She said simply as she cleaned up her station and put her smock away. Picking up Spike off the purple bottle she slipped the lizard in her pocket. "I need inspiration so I have to go find some at the forest."
Abby just nodded.She cleaned her brush and put it into the blue paint.She painted a house than mixed the blue with some white,creating a ligjter blue
Lillian smiled and gave the girl a wave, "see you around, Abby." She said kindly before leaving, forgetting that she had never told the girl her name or her house or anything about herself. Walking off towards the forest she hummed to herself.
