2353297 I just purchased that book. It looks very good. He was certainly an amazing man. Another good book about him is George Washington, 1st President. Very in-depth.

573263 I had previously read this biography by Jay A. Parry and Andrew M. Allison. It is a very quick and enjoyable read. Not as in depth as His Excellency (which is OK to me). I was just looking at the sub title of this book and it is "The Man Who United America." I find that interesting because it is true. Washington was a Virginian, which was the leader/largest of the colonies. He was the the General of the united effort of the colonies to fight off Britain (a uniting role). He was the president of the Constitutional Convention (once again seen as the leader of the united colonies). This is one of the greatest attributes of a leader (to unite). When it comes to politics, most people are (in my opinion) pretty moderate and simply want to do what is practically right for the nation. I believe this was the vision of George Washington.
